Dis Budget Renovations, 2011 - who's got what going on?

I know lots of people are either doing or want to do renovations this year.

I thought it would be a fun to have a place to discuss plans, ideas, show pics, etc.

So what are you up to this year?

I've changed the title of the thread to reflect the times and inclinations of probably most people here, including myself.

I could move it to the Budget Board, but I "know" more people here and think it's a popular subject everywhere.

Too MANY projects...

First will be finishing off the remainder of our basement. We have three walls that need drywall and paint, and updated electrical. We were quoted $2500 and will start any day. From there, about $1000 for new carpet, a couple hundred on new lighting fixtures, and I don't even want to THINK about how much furniture and a TV will cost

Then comes the roof! We've been quoted $3500-$4000. This we plan on attacking come Spring.

We are adding a decorative beam to the peak of our vaulted ceiling in our living room, but my husband and dad are doing that, and if it costs $50 I will be surprised.

In the Spring, we want to build a deck. Probably $1500. Nothing too big.

In the summer, my husband will repaint the siding on our garage.

Then, THE BABY'S ROOM!

We are renovating our kitchen. Long over due we are also getting custom curtains for the new kitchen and our living room. I think the most awful part is having to take our cabinets out ourselves what a pain in the rear.

We took ours down, too. Then used them to burn in the fire pit for the rest of the winter. (It was a little sad, lol.)
