LMP, please take care of yourself and let some of this go. I do think your DD20 should call his doctor thought. Getting the meds early for shingle is so important.

We do need to meet up. Send me your cell phone by pm. We will get in late on the 18th, not moving to the boardwalk until the 23rd. Are you staying at the Yacht Club? We should meet at EPCOT or in the EPCOT resort area. I don't make a lot of ADR's.

We end up skippng more than 50% of the time.

GAGWTA, Ladies!

Maryann, I hope you get some GOOD news soon! :wizard:

Welcome, Donna! :)

Laurie, we don't arrive until June 4. I don't think our days overlap with anybody else this time.

Good afternoon ladies

Laurie - ok, epcot sounds like a plan. Hmm, do we have a napoleon with our names on it at the french bakery?:) I am woried about the weather. I hope it wont be raining buckets like it was for you last year. I am a poncho person, dh despises ponchos and only wants an umbrella.

Well it looks like ds shingles were a false alarm. I gave him money to pick up his asthma med. He went but I only gave him $40 and he didnt meet his deductible this year so it was $125!! Needless to say he came home to get me and the credit card. Saw my neighbor who works there. She told me to do an online survery and rate them well. I think they might want to close this store since there is another 24 hour one in the town too. It would be terrible, no job for her and more driving out of the way for us etc.

And then he wanted to go to Panera Bread for lunch, so I said o.k. I saw the secretaries from their old school celebrating administrative day.

The pamperd chef party is cancelled. Poor Alyssa is sick. She has a fever. I think Sha or Linda would know, isint this very bad for a heart transplant patient? I am praying for her alot.

And ds18 has gotten the scholarship letter today from dh work, actually the people who do the sats administer it. Unfortunately I think it will be bad news. It is so slim. That is just like a probable 1 page thank you and sorry which ds22 got that one time. Well at least he got his tax refund today so that should cheer him up a little.:)

GTAGWTA. Have a great day everyone.

GAGWTA, Ladies!

My mom phoned a little while ago to tell me she met with her oncologist today and all is well. She had a CT and full body scan on Monday, then blood work and everything is fine. She doesn't have to go back to him until August. :)

JSG that is good news

Also good news for LMP DS for not having Shingles. Hoping that there is good news about the scholarship. Mine were thin letters when I got mine. Not like they are sending cash in it ;) JK

not my area of expertise about transplants. Prayers that she improves quickly.

Am getting ready to run away to WDW for the weekend without mom. I am looking forward to meeting some people here and there.

Also looking forward to May trip. A friend and I are the only 2 who are going to be arriving on Thursday in May and we are going to Yachtsman and La Nouba that evening. Been to Yachtsman 2 times. Didnt like the first time and really liked it the second time.

Elizabeth - such great news about your mom!! Is the whole body scan the pet scan?

Sha - I hope you have a great trip! Yachstman sounds geat! We were there once for our anniv We had Ricardo who is Elizabeths favorite server.

Well here is a clue to the news :sad1:. Gee how did I know? Ds is sullen, quiet and appears overwhelmingly disappointed. He is out now. I dont know how much heartache this kid can take. I want to cry too, but I am trying to be upbeat for him etc.

And dh called me. :) He said between the 4 planes he saw 2 sunrises and 2 sunsets and is glad to be in a real hotel room now in New Zealand. He said in Russia they were checking his luggage and the guy pulls out dh sitz bath and says..what is this american hat? He then procedes to put it on his head, and says to dh, what is it?? Dh takes it away and says no, its used here and puts it by his butt:scared1:. The guy says, go,go, just go!!:rotfl2: And then he checks his luggage and puts his hand in and feels a sticky mess in the hotel room. He sees that someone is Russia, (who handled his luggage last) decided to steal dh container of prunes:rotfl2:. I guess that person will be umm, busy if they dont know what they are, :rotfl2: and so goes the world of international travel today.

GTAGWTA.

If I knew Ricardo was working on May 13th I would ask for him

Oh wdw4us2 if you want DH and DD to come along, there is room on the boat

Sha, I would ask for him when you check in at the podium. I can't recall off the top of my head what nights he is off.

Maryann, prunes, huh? Who would have thought! :rotfl2:
I am sorry for your DS. :guilty: Hopefully another opportunity will come along soon!

GAGWTA!

I'm feeling quite frazzled-work is hectic and my laptop got some kind of virus yesterday, I have no time at present to figure it out or get it somewhere, so am borrowing DD's Mac to pop in.

Laurabelle, it is lovely to "see" you here.

Welcome Donna, and MinniTink!!

Feeling really...odd...as I approach the 5 year cancerversary. My abnormal mammo was this week 5 years ago, biopsy and diagnosis in early May. Laurabelle and Pea-n-Me started the original of this thread that same time, they as well as snappy and Merry Poppins were "with me" from day one, literally.....besides family they were actually the first to know of my diagnosis!
We talk about anniversaries on here now and then, the feelings they can stir up.....and I just want to take this opportunity to send out a big THANK YOU and group hug to all of the "sisters" and friends on this thread. The friendships and support here, arising out of the beast of a disease, are such a HUGE blessings....and such a positive uplifting thing to come of out of the cancer diagnosis! Love to all!!

Not sure whn I'll be back, depending on the computer situation!! :confused3
:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

:lmao: American hat!!!! Hahahaha!!!

Thanks for that. I needed a laugh. It reminds me of poor Clark W. Griswald brushing his teeth in the bedpan in European Vacation. LOL.

This sure is a rollercoaster. I had a not so great day. The desk I sat in today was right across from the breast specialist and all day I heard her dictating some tremendously scary mm/us/mri reports. Ugh. Anxiety. I also decided to stop being an idiot. I was due for my mammo about 9 months ago. So I scheduled myself for right after work and got my squeeze on. The tech that did it has a mom AND sister who are breast ca survivors. Hearing that helped my mood a bit. Also I have to say my coworkers have been AMAZING. I am so lucky.

Thanks for being there ladies.

Ann- I'm sure that is a very disconcerting feeling.

JSG - So happy to hear your good news about your mom.

LMP - I feel for you and your son. Thank you for the funny story about your husbands trip.

Pea - Have a great trip.

MinnieTink - Those feelings of anxiety can be heightened for any number of reasons and hearing what you heard certainly would do it. It's nice that you have such great co-workers.

GAGWTA

Good morning ladies

Ann - I know how you feel. I was thinking I want to be happy and celebrate and then everything that happened comes rushing in etc. I hope you will be able to celebrate in your own way because you have so much to celebrate. You are a survivor sista!! and :cheer2: (covering both bases for you sista!)

KJ - How is your cat?

Sha - That is so neat that FL and you will meet etc.

Linda - Have a great trip

MinnieTink - you have great co workers who have your back for sure and your heart too! I asm sure what you hear is scary. When I heard stuff about myself it seemed overwhelming too. Hoping you hear great news about yourself.

Laura - You must be having pre op stuff soon?

Laurie - I will pm my cell phone sometime in the not too distant future.

Well ds20 has seen the light. He realizes he has no money. Yes son, when you quit your job you have no cash flow etc. Well I did tell him about 3 jobs. We will see.I have a feeling its going to be a loong summer with him.
The weather forcast is for rain here this week end.

GTAGWTA. Have a great week end.

I had my last radiation treatment this morning. I'm doing the happy dance!:cool1:

MaryAnn - cat is doing fine. Thank you for asking.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. We are supposed to get some rain this weekend. It's very, very dry so although it would be nice if it came just at night , it will be good to have the fire danger drop a little bit and water the plants and grass. Or maybe not the grass because that means I have to mow it. Can I wish for it just to rain on the the plants and the fields and the gravel roads and everybody elses grass, but not mine :lmao:

GAGWTA Ladies.

question is how much antibacterial ointment did MaryAnn need after putting the cat in the carrier????

Headed down to the land of dreams and celebrations and some Mice. Dinner at Sanaa and a savanna view for me for the weekend. My spirit is picking up as the day as progressed. Actually a good day today. Though did start to cry a little when I called a church friend who's husband had passed away on Wednesday. I wont be going to the celebration/memorial service as it is tomorrow.

Will try to get some pictures of the meerkats.
