Smilie, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Such a sad story.

Yay for finishing the race!

Sale not until the end of the month. Everything in the house is now priced. Tonight we move on to the garage.

GAGWTA!

Sha and Laurie :cheer2: for doing such a great job at the race. That is amazing!!

Merry - hope the sale went well

Lisa - hope you are resting up from treatment

Well I am so tired, so tired that I feel like I want to take a nap. Think I did alot but to some people it would be like nothing. Yest. we went to church and then to the farm. The ds got pumpkins and we all had roasted corn, cider, cider donuts and fresh popcorn. It was fun. The ds were being silly and stuck their heads in one of those wooden cutouts to take a picture. I have to see it.

We also got a fresh blueberry pie and an apple caramel one. When ds asked for the apple caramel one, everyone heard him and asked for one too!! Of course we have been there before so knew what to ask for. It was so crazy there and we had to wait just to park. Busiest we have seen it for sure.

I got the bill from that eye surgeon.Just her sticking all those needles in my eyes she billed the ins. co. over $1,000, wowsa. They paid her about half. Thank God dh has good health ins. and we only had to pay $30. These drs. really make $$.

GTAGWTA. Blessings to you all

LMP The carmel apple sounds so goooood! Sounds like you had a good time.

Merry- You are making good progress on the house. I hope your sell is successful.

Smiley hope you are in my thoughts.

Just popped in to check on my sistas. Have a good day.

Hello everyone! Been a while since I posted. Very hectic week at work getting ready for vacation next week. Also fit in my "girls weekend" at the beach. We had an awesome time.

Olallamom - two of the ladies I go to the beach with are breast cancer survivors (sisters). They have both been on arimidex for quite a while. Don't know if the side effects are similar to tamoxifen. They have problems with aches and pains mostly. One of the two is about to be done with the drug - we are already planning her five year survivor party.

LMP - glad to hear about your son's volunteer position. Hope he enjoys it. I had to laugh when you wrote about the heated seats in the beast. One of the few luxuries that I wish I had in my stripped down Subaru is heated seats. I have friends with them and I think I would love it on cold winter mornings!

Laurie and Sha - congratulations on finishing the race. I did the 60 mile walk but I can't imagine running a 5K.

I am so looking forward to my vacation. Still in the bathroom every hour on the hour it seems, including at night. The doctors did warn me that the more treatments I had, the more problems with urinary urgency and frequency could occur. I am taking pyridium and they are going to give me something different when I go on Thursday. He said on the phone it will make me pee blue instead of orange! It is a good thing I have been to Disney enough to know where all the bathrooms are in case it doesn't work so great.

We are at Saratoga Springs this trip. Haven't stayed there in a while and we are looking forward to visiting our home resort.

Hope everyone is doing well. I pray for all of you regularly!

DH has heated seats. They're lovely when it's cold.

Taking tonight off from the sale prep. Instead I'll work here today loading my car with things I plan to sell. It's going to frost so we have to get all the plants in here and at my Mom's. And I brought home all of MIL's plants. Some need to be planted outdoors and some need to find a place in our house. So another busy day.

Good afternoon sistas

PatsMom - sounds like you had a wonderful girls week end. Hope the medication issues get straightened out before your trip. I know what you mean about the bathrooms. Ever since my last stomach surgery I have had issues and know where all the bathrooms at WDW are too. I have a few favorites, strange but true:), hmm my top three are MK - the one by space mountain Epcot: England area and AK; Tusker House inside one and I dont know about DHS. I have to use the handicapped ones anyway as I cant use my L arm well etc and my knee issues

Candy - how is your ds driving. Bet he is getting to be a pro.

Merry - sounds like you are doing a lot of work, but it will pay off in the end, not thinking monetarily but more to get it accomplished. When we were finished I think after we donated the last of the stuff I took a big rest and had a big sigh of relief for sure.

Linda - thought of you and your cake when we ate the pies last night. They were SO good.

Smiley and Lisa - hope you are both doing ok

Laurie - I bet you need a massage after all that walking,

I had a terrible night with my acid reflux. I think one day I will need to see a gastro person, not the one I have gone to before, he was clueless too, but someone else and get another endoscopy. I am on the max of the med I can have now so I dont know what the next step would be.

Spent a lot of time playing e mail catch up with that relative, well the lst one, not the 2nd one. She asked me what has happened since my mom died, OMG that was years ago, gotta alot of catching up to do, like about 15 years at least.

GTAGWTA. Blessings to you all always.

smiley...so sorry to hear about your DD, I hope she is coping ok with her treatment. Sounds like you are doing a great job supporting her, and trying to keep the peace for your DGS. When it rains, it pours, that's for sure. Hang in there.

Lisa, how are you doing? Did you get your scan results yet?

Sha & Laurie, congrats on the marathon! :thumbsup2 Glad you had nice weather.

LMP, hope you are feeling better today. Congrats to your DS!

MP, sure sounds like the work at the house is keeping you busy! I bet you'll be glad when it is done.

PatsMom, I hope the new stuff you get from the doc helps! I've never even visited Saratoga Springs.....heard it is nice, would like to check out all of the resorts sometime. There are several I've never seen.

Candy, I bet your DD looked beautiful! I think it's good for girls to learn early on how to correctly wear makeup.....can't get better than learning from a makeup artist!

It's 43 outside today, and raining non-stop, and windy! YUCK! Went for my CT scan yesterday, wont know results until after vacation. Didn't want anything to spoil our trip.

GAGWTA!!! :goodvibes

Good afternoon sistas

Lisa - thinking of you and hoping the test results are favorable

PatsMom - you are a trooper to put up with those treatments sista! Hang in there. You deserve your vacation for sure!

smiley - hoping things are proceeding well for you in treatment and on the family front too. Hang in there!

Cheryl,Olla and PatsMom and Sha - hope you all have wonderful vacations. I am sure you are all anxiously counting down the days

Laurie and Sha - Bet you need a vacation from the vacation

Linda - what do you think of all the Red Sox talk? And the Rangers didnt even win last night too.

Candy - has your dh started the new shift yet?

And in the what is broken now dept...the winner is..my cell phone. Ds looked at it and thinks something happened to the sim card. Dont know if they can fix this. So we will go to the store on sat.

Well I feel like crap. That feels good to write that out. I have some issues going on and we will see what happens. I was a good girl and made a mammo appt. today but I have to wait until Nov. 15th. She gave me an earlier date but that is when the infusion was. If things get worse I guess I might have to make an appt. with the dreaded gyn too. It also feels like it could be kidney stuff too. I am having lots of strange and different symptoms. Not liking this at all.

I also called the ins. company about ds, so confusing. I knew it would be. Now it would be better for me to find an oral surgeon that takes both our medical and dental ins. if there is one as they dont know if it will be covered as medical etc. Can you say $$.

Well dh was informed he was getting a promotion, but its not what you think. Now that he has moved to this new dept. he makes too much money so the boss said he has to give him a new title etc. to justify that based on what he made at the old dept. Apparently the new. dept. pay is terrible and his boss has never been known to give out good raises. Doesnt matter as there is a pay freeze anyway. He is suppose to be a goup leader instead of just a worker, at the other dept. that would be considered a management position but not in this new dept. So dh fears this will just be more work for him to do. Not liking it at all for sure.Stinks. He went to this dept. because the boss originally told him, oh you can do whatever projects you want etc. and now it seems they are sticking it to him and loading him up with more responsibliities for no more money etc. I barely see him now as it is.

GTAGWTA

Yes, MaryAnn, I guess I do need a vacation. Went right back to work after driving in from airport. Now I am having cold like symptoms, but maybe be allergy related, who knows. Lots of pollen in the air here and I am achy and have a sore throat. Also, my mom became ill while I was at WDW, and my sister and I are trying to deal with that. She is having severe
constipation, and bad low back pain. She saw her doctor Monday, had a cat scan and diagnostic tests, no blockage. In fact the fluids she had to drink to prep for the scan for a blockage caused her to evacuate violently.

Now we are back to the beginning again, and her belly is very distended.

I will bring her back to the internist tomorrow, and hopefully she will see a gastro doc as well tomorrow. Mom dragged her feet making an appointment with a gastro and her appointment is not until Monday.

I don't want her to suffer all weekend and maybe end up in the emergency room. The gastro doc's nurse would not move it up without talking to mom's internist who saw her Monday and she was out this afternoon.

Enough with that, I want to wish everyone a nice upcoming trip. Sha, you with your weekend trip and reunion, Cheryl, Patsmom, Ollallasmom. MaryAnn, your trip is in November as well, correct?

I have been reading everything, just too snowed to post direct comments. Wondering if vacations are worth facing what is necessary to catch up afterwords?

DH got the results today from a skin biopsy he had done before I left last week, he has squamous cell cancer on his arm, and is scheduled for the Mohs procedure on November 8th I think.

The area is smaller than a nickel I think, so I am hoping it has not spread, and thankful it is not melanoma.

It is nice to have sometime positive to think about, right?

I am hoping to post in the morning, but I am tired and have a lot to do before I leave tomorrow... including a stop to buy a sweater. I dont own one. Not a fan of them, but it appears I need one this weekend or else I am taking my leather jacket and that just seems a bit much.

oh... and in case I haven't changed my hair style by Saturday morning... here is a bit blurry pic but me none the less...

look forward to hearing from you guys to meet up in Epcot for a little bit!!! text or call me.

Hi everyone. I just read through the last few posts.

Snappy: Your family crisis with your daughter is heart breaking. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Sha: Are you going to be around during my trip next week (10/26-11/1). I will be meeting up with patsmom sometime during my trip. Love the pic.

LMP: Hope that you feel better. Your DH's job situation does suck.

MP: Thanks for sharing your Tamoxifen experience.

Lisa: I hope that you are feeling ok and that your next treatment goes well.

Candy: I am always thinking that I should do a trip report. It is fun to read other peoples. For some reason I just never get around to it. I will be sure to share the highlights with the group upon my return.

Cheryl: I would love to hear about your experience with Tamoxifen

I am having a good week. My energy level has finally come back to almost where it was prior to surgery. Doctor hasn't given the ok to run yet, but I am briskly walking 4 miles almost each day now. It am now 4 weeks post op.

Yesterday I went with a friend to her chemo appt. She is the same age as me, 44 yrs, and this is 3rd time with breast cancer. Her first diagnosis was at age 28. She tested positive for the brca1 gene. Her sister has had ovarian cancer. It is a sad family story of breast cancer and ovarian cancer throughout her father's side of the family. I am being tested for this gene currently and I hope that I don't have it.
My situation pales in comparison to my friends or many of you on this board.

Love the pic, Sha! But then I also love it curly. You have a beautiful head of hair!!

Have a great weekend! What about a sweatshirt?

Be sure and try the rice pudding with strawberry sauce at the Scandanavia kiosk. It was divine,

Olallamom, walking 4 miles a day this soon after surgery? You, my dear, are inspiring. Do you walk early in the morning?

Actually, it is my mom who is having the crisis. I am pacing until the clinic starts taking calls to see if they can fit her in. My sis and I did not realize how much help she needs making the appointments. It is a little scary how fast she is slipping. Maybe it is the stress and nervousness of not knowing what is wrong.

Where are you staying Olallamom?

I loved the sausage offering at Canada. It was the only item I tried twice.

I like spicy stuff.

Snappy, sorry to hear about your Mom. Hang in there, I will be praying for her.

I am packed and trying to think of what I forgot! Looking forward to meeting up with Sha, Cheryl, and Olallamom at some point during the trip. I'll have my cell on! So text when you are there. Epcot on Saturday for sure, the rest of the week is pretty flexible. Tuesday night I do have the Halloween party.

Things have really sucked at work lately so I am very much looking forward to this trip!

Enjoy your trip, Patsmom! You will have to post which food you liked! Do y'all do any of the demos? I did not really have time.

Hope the trip will help you forget your work cares for a few days. I hope you enjoy the Halloween party. I saw some great costumes when I went to California Grill.

Enjoy Saratoga Springs!

Pictures!

Good afternoon ladies

Lisa - I hope your treatment is uneventful today. Thinking of you. You are amazing!

smilie - hope your treatments are going well too Have you been back to the surgeon for the things you were concerned about?

Olla - you are amazing too with all that walking. I get out of breath just walking to the mailbox

Laurie -I hope the drs. can give some insight into your moms medical condition. I am sure it is disheartening to see her not feeling well. Wishing her all the best.

Candy - hope you can get some time for you this week end or are you working?

Cheryl,Sha,PatsMom and Olla - cant wait to hear all about your trips.

PatsMom - sounds like this vacation is exactly what you need right now

Sha - I love your hair. Hmm, I like the curls too. But this is also another side of wonderful you. Hmm, which does R. prefer, has he seen this yet? I used to have curly hair and my dh nickname for me was "Curly Girly":)

Merry - you are doing a great job, so busy!! It will be worth it when you are all done. Lots less to worry about

Anne - continued prayers for Avery

OK I am done, finished and through with making medical appts for eveyone. I talked to dh and he said that I should def. go to the gyn. I havent been to one in over 10 years:scared1:. Mine retired, so I am going to a dr. that my endo recommended, at least she is female which I think I would be more comfortable with. I looked her up online and she has glowing reviews so that helps I guess. I am so not looking forward to this and hope it is not like what I had to go through the last time I actually went to the gyn. Lots of testing and surgery etc. So not fun.

Of course this is being done while dh is away and I am really hoping that it will not be anything major as I dont want to cancel our trip which starts Nov. 28th.

Tonight ds19 is getting inducted into the honor society at the comm. college so dh and I might go, we shall see. Hopefully tomm. my phone will get fixed.

GTAGWTA. Have a great week end everyone

Pats Mom, Sha (Great Pic Charlie's Angel), OllaMom- Don't forget to take lots of pictures. Have fun Gals!!!
Olallamom- You are doing great post op! You go girl!

Snappy-Sorry to hear about your Mom! I hope things get straightened out. That is so very stressful

Lisa- How are you doing?

LMP- Son is still a nervous wreck behind the wheel. It is hard to take him driving because I have been working so much on the weekends and DH too! We have thought about taking him to get driving lessons but they cost sooooo much! Hubby is not going night shift for another 6 months.
Hey what happened with the family that you discovered lived close to you? Any communications?

Cheryl Dan- I know!!! The Makeup was very nice. Her site is cute too! She had bloopers of their photo shoot and it was funny. I went out and bought some Nature's way make up for her because she is allergic to everything it seems.

Merry- How did the garage clean up go? I know you have to be exhausted after all of it.

Smiley- Keep on Smiling!

I hope everyone has a good weekend. I work tonite and tmrw my DH is working for me so that I can attend a Mother/Daughter party that a friend of mine is throwing. My DD was so upset when she heard I had to work. So I asked if he would mind because she was looking forward to it. Sunday I am going to try and switch over my summer clothes to winter. We will see how that goes!

Diverticulitis suspected, even though not apparent in the cat scan, but white blood count is elevated.

Mom is on 2 antibiotics and on clear liquid diet for 2 days, then soft foods, gastro doc on Tuesday.

We were trying to feed her appealing and healthy foods, build up her appetite. WRONG!!!

Candy your husband sounds like a keeper, working for you tonight.

MaryAnn, you really should see a gyn every year. Maybe you will really like this female gyn and will go on schedule. Congrats to your son on being in the honor society.

Making a gumbo, good hot soup weather as it is nice and cool. I think I just had allergies, so I am better.

Finally got my pictures uploaded to our new mac.

Here is Sha and mom before the sun rose
