Sha - I'm enjoying your countdown!

MaryAnn - Happy your DH made it home safely.

Candy - I hope your dog situation is resolved soon.

smiley - Good luck with your trip. Take your time and remember to keep hydrated!

I did not have a very good weekend. I started feeling badly after my Nuelasta shot on Saturday and things went downhill from there. I spend all day Sunday praying to the porcelain god, which had not happened since my first chemo back in October 2009. I had to go to the oncologist today for hydration, which was the first time I ever had to do that. I'm hoping to feel better by tomorrow morning as we are meeting Meg in Melbourne for lunch to celebrate her birthday.

Lisa- That porcelain god requires too much worship sometimes. Oh I hope you are feeling well enough to go to dinner with Meg. Small sips and ice chips and occasional popsicle helped me. Hang in there.

LMP- Did you get your reservations?

Smiley-Take your time and enjoy your vacation. Let us know if you do a trip report. I love living through others trips. :)

Sha- I was :rotfl2: at your last post!!!! Find another top to go with your leggings for the plane ride. You want to be comfortable and you can still look good. Save the dress for another day. You have it togther. Gettin' yur hur did and nails hooked up. Toes...can't forget the toes. In our family that is a must. If you wear sandals don't come out with your feet looking like Freddie Kruger. You will be talked about and then given a pedicure. :lmao:

My DD called me when she got through customs and said she was an Alien resident and out of the country. She kept ending her sentences with "Eh?" LOL She then called me an hour later and said that she had her own room with flat screen tv and bathroom! I haven't heard from her today but I am sure I will.

Good afternoon ladies

Lisa - I am so sorry to hear you had to suffer those side effects, but hope things are quieting down for you and that you are feeling better. Hoping you are able to enjoy a special day with Meg to celebrate her b day. Give her our wishes too!!

smiley - Congrats on the last chemo! Hoping you have a wonderfl trip too! My dh usually stays outside San Francisco in the Palo Alto and Stamford area.

Sha - I think R. is going to think you will be looking marvelous! Remember my posts about the Bruno Mars song. Hmm, that is going through my head right now again.

Candy - I guess your family would think I have the Freddy Kruger toes. My ds20 even commented to me how bad my feet looked at church. I guess you would throw me in for a pedicure:rotfl2:

Well after grocery shopping with dh, I was up till 3 am typing his report and then I had to get up at 7 am to call disney. I laid in bed with my cell phone. It took 50 calls just to get through to the dining line and then was the message that the wait would be 45 minutes. Then dh says, is your battery charged. I look, its losing power really fast. I tell him to run with the phone to the charger so I had to sit in the living room leaning over the arm of the chair for another 30 minutes so the phone would reach the charger. Finally after listening to nothing for 30 minutes, then haunted mansion, country bears, etc. Finally got a cast member and we scored a candelight processional package. So we are going to Tutto Italia Dec. lst for the 6:45 show. Only bad thing is we have to eat dinner at 4:10 pm after eating lunch at LTT at noon. Hopefully we can walk some of it off etc. Changed around some of the other adrs and I am done, stick a fork in me, done with adrs unless something else happens.

GTAGWTA.

LMP- Don't feel bad. I just got my first pedi of the summer and the poor woman!! Instead of a small buffer she got out a chainsaw on my feet!!:rotfl: They look better now but she told me to come back in two weeks so she can finish them :scared1: LOL

Smiley- I forgot to congratulate you on your last treatment. :cheer2::cheer2::flower3::flower3:Doing the cabbage patch dance :woohoo::rockband:party: Congratulations Sista!!!!!

Lisa I hope you are feeling better. I saw that you were going to lunch for Meg's bday. That is today??? She is the 4th person I know for today, and the other 3 are all family.

Candy, I have a pedicure tomorrow and hair is on Thursday. I have no problem with the dress... just figure that it could get a little cool on the plane too is another reason. He knows I am probably going to wear one so will stick to that plan. We are both looking forward to the weekend.

I am heading to bed. I am so tired! Too much to do still. Take care and sweet dreams!!

Good almost afternoon everyone

smiley - we are celebrating with you today sista:cheer2::jumping1: yeah for the last chemo!!

Lisa - hope you are feeling better and that you were able to enjoy a nice b day visit with Meg.

Sha - have fun at your pedi today? What color did you pick?

Laurie - how is everything going?

Candy - I bet you miss your dd, but you know she is in good hands and probably feeling so grown up being out of the country

PatsMom- hope your endo visit went well

I am making stuffed peppers tonight. I dont think it will go over well with the ds. Ds20 said, make something different. Best news ever. We won the property court case. The contact is null and void and the builder is suppose to give us the deposit money. I doubt we will ever see the money, but at least we can sell the property to someone else now. And so the cycle will begin again of dh and his cousins not agreeing or cooperating about anything. But at least its not such a problem hanging over our heads with the lawyers etc. Thank you judge whoever.

Worse, dh big boss has demanded he spend more time in China in August. I almost blew my top again. I told him no way. He said he cant say no. etc. The air there is terrible and the dust storms are coming in from the Gobi desert then too. I told him he needs to buy a respirator mask etc. We will see what happens.

GTAGWTA. Blessings to you all always.

I tried to keep up with posts last week while I was on vacation but I had little internet access. Had a relaxing time but am playing catch up and back to work this week. We have a beautiful day here today but we're going back to hot and humid this weekend. Planning on spending lots of time in the pool.

GAGWTA :flower3:

Good evening...

Am suppose to be doing paperwork, but just not there for me. I will work on some in the morning. I have misplaced my mouse but it wont work for anyone else because I have the piece in my laptop for it. I think someone picked it up at the office not paying attention. Am not packed but I have everything basically ready. Wont take long. I am hoping that the strapless bra I am waiting for will arrive tomorrow or before I leave on Friday... but starting to not look like it will. I have one that works so it's not a problem at all. Got the leggins today too Just to be more comfy on the flight.

Pedi was very nice and its Charged Up Cherry I believe. It pops but not obnoxiously. Am also going to be able to get a manicure Friday morning. A spot opened up this afternoon. I kept planning to call her during the day and couldnt.

A friend gave me some jeans... I am not use to jeans fitting snug to my legs but this one pair is going to be great for going out if we go to a bar like place. If we go nicer, then I have the dress.

Linda... relaxing by the pool doesnt sound so bad on a hot day.

Maryann... I agree about the no way for him being gone so long, but I remember my mom saying that once she said oh no about moving again, and my dad said, you dont say no to IBM.

am going to go... will try to come by tomorrow or Friday before I leave. Take care everyone!!!

Is Laurie back???

Well what's wrong with that Eh? lol....
we Canadians love everybody...even Alien residents Eh! :lmao:
I'll try to at least post some pictures and tell you all how it went!

thanks for all the happy dancing ladies! The nurses had a card with lotto tickets in it, a gift bag with a beautiful wind chime, a big pink mylar helium balloon with stickers they had printed all over, and a chocolate cake!! That's one of the good parts of living in a smaller town, it's a close community and even the dr's and nurses make it personal. So sweet of them!!
I sent a text to my sons cell phone telling him how he helped me get through it, and that I knew he was doing a happy dance, ( he had sent me a text saying he was doing a happy dance when I texted him I had no cancer in my lymph glands). The phones not in service anymore, but at least the numbers not being used by anyone else yet so I can still do crazy things like that.
Maryann....really glad you got that done!! what a lot of work, but so worth it!! I do stuff like that when it comes to Disney too! And congatulations on the court thing!! :thumbsup2
Sha, best of luck with your trip/date.... love the sound of the color of your pedi!
Lisa, sooooooo hope you are feeling better now  and you were able to enjoy your lunch with your daughter. I'm just getting ready for this last one to kick in tomorrow. Friday and sat. are the worst days of the bunch for me, and friday we have to make the 5 hr. return trip into the city for my radiation planning cat scan so I know it's going to be a doubley horrible day. will be taking lot's of drugs with me to get me through, and a bowl for in the car. yuck. But hey! it's the last one

Well what's wrong with that Eh? lol....

I love this!

AND HAPPY DANCE FOR YOU SMILEY!!!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::banana::banana::banana::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

and I think that is great about the texting. And what can be better than choc cake?!

Smiley - congrats on finishing up your chemo! Celebrate and enjoy. You deserve it.

Maryann - sorry to hear that your husband might be overseas even more this summer. But at least you have your Disney trip to look forward to. And a Candlelight Processional dinner package to boot!

Reading about all the pedi's makes me want to go get one. I haven't had one in forever.

Visit to the endo went well. The blood sugar numbers are still high but going in the right direction. I have to make up for a lot of abuse to my body. Last year I pretty much ate what I wanted. Especially around treatment days when I was feeling lousy.

Its almost another weekend - hope everyone gets a chace to enjoy it!

Good afternoon ladies, Cloudy and rainy here. Where is the sun??? Its summer!!!

Sha - have a wonderful time!! Cant wait to hear all about it sista.

Lisa - how are you feelng?

smiley - have a wonderful trip

Cheryl - thinkig of you

Candy - when is your dd coming home?

Laurie - miss you posting. Hope all is well.

PatsMom - heard abot the missing girl from your state. Our news said the step dad was in a mental hosp. once for threatening an ex girlfriend? So sad.

Well I had a little medication mix up with the pills as ds put them in that "wonderful" cough present, the pill box for 7 days. I got confused as they are the same color but 1 changed shape. So now its all straightened out, but I think the new dosage is making me just so overly tired. I dont like feeling this way. Ds19 was happy, he won a contest from a local radio station. 2 water park tickets and 4 movie tickets and today he wil know if he won a tv. Dh and I are going shopping this week end. Just sheets, maybe a microwave etc. We will see how it goes. Dh also got to the highest level of frequent flier at the airlines, so now he gets double miles back and forth to China. Hello Disney. I guess we could stay a long, long time at the GF or BC in May.:):)for free.

GTAGWTA. Have a great week end everyone.

smiley - Congrats on finishing the chemo. I'm so happy for you!

Sha - Enjoy your weekend!

MaryAnn - Congrats on getting your reservations. You're far more dedicated than I am. If I can't get what I want, I give up and move on lol.

PatsMom - Good news on your blood sugar numbers coming down. I'm sure they'll get better for you.

Well, I'm still not feeling great but I'm better than I was over the weekend. Just don't have the energy to do anything yet, but I'm going to try to get back in the pool tomorrow. Haven't been swimming in a week and I don't like going that long without exercising especially since my chemo is every two weeks now instead of every three weeks. I did manage to go with DH and DS to meet Meg for her birthday luncheon. It was nice, but it took a lot out of me.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.:)

Lisa - hope you are up to the pool this weekend. It is supposed to be a nice one here in the northeast at least!

Sha - I hope you have a great weekend too!

MaryAnn - glad you got your pills straightened out. I take so many that I dread filling up my seven day pill organizer! I had to hunt for one big enough to hold them all. And now we are going to add a third dose of metformin to be taken at lunchtime to see if I can tolerate it. So I have morning, evening and noontime! I am going to keep the noontime one's in a separate bottle I think!

The missing girl is scary. Only 11 years old and she lives in a pretty remote area. The stepfather evidently was in trouble and in a mental hospital and was diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic or something like that. He assaulted a former girlfriend. I am assuming that he has completed his treatment and is on medication or the mother shouldn't have let him near her daughter. At least the FBI is involved. We don't get many cases of missing persons up here and local law enforcement just isn't equipped to deal with it. I heard that they are now searching all the seasonal camps in the area. I hope they find her soon - the longer this goes on the more it seems like there can't be a good outcome!

No weekend plans for me. I am going to rest and relax and enjoy myself. I joined a Relay for Life team to walk in the spring of 2012. I've done the Susan G Komen 3 Day for the Cure but I thought this would be more meaningful to me. I cheered on 3 Day walkers this year but if you are a survivor of another cancer, you kind of feel out of place in all that pink! Like you had the "wrong" kind of cancer. And the Relay is just 24 hours of walking. Lots easier than 60 miles while badly anemic because your bladder tumor is bleeding! The team's big fundraiser is running a craft fair. Good thing they run it instead of selling at it since I have no ability at all in that area! I think I am going to volunteer my daughter and husband to do refreshments. They did concessions at the basketball tournament we held when fundraising for the 3 Day so they are experienced!

Sorry for lack of recent posting. Had a long post going yesterday but I lost it when submitting. I have been keeping up with everyone. Just too busy and too tired.

Wanted y'all not to think I went off the reservation or anything. Three trips to new orleans this week, including today. When not driving I am working. Good ol budget time. I would like to scalp me some board members. Excuse me being brief. Posting from my iPhone, waiting for lunch order to arrive.

Hope you escape the rain, Sha. We got the rainy season here. Webbed feet time. It was sunny this morning in new Orleans, still was just a minute ago but wet in baton rouge.

Maryann you may have stay concierge to use up all those miles. Bet you don't pick beach club!

Hang in there Lisa.

Thinking of you Cheryl.

Have a good trip Smilie.

Hope you can tolerate your change in meds, Patsmom.

Love your posts, candy!

Havers.

Hi ladies, sorry I haven't been around much.......I will need too catch up with all the post. Just thought I would stop by with an update.

Taking the past month off from chemo has helped sooo much. It took about three weeks before I started feelng much better at all. finally around week four I started feeling human again! My appetite is much better and Im slowly getting back to a normal diet. I've lost quite a bit of weight.....having trouble keeping my pants up!

Had my appt with my oncologist a few days ago. He will be sending me for another CT in three weeks to see if there has been any changes in the tumors, and then we will disçuss future treatment options. In the meantime he is sending me to a neurologist because the neurapathy in my left hand is so severe. He said he wants to have it checked out to see if anything else is going on.....MRI and/or some kind of needle test. He started me on Lyrica, and even though it's only been a few days, it really seems to be helping.

Hopefully in the next three weeks I will be able to start building up my strength and resuming some normal activites. Just taking things one day at a time ....no idea what the future will bring.

I hope you all have a great weekend! sending out good thoughts for everyone in treatment........GAGWTA!!! :goodvibes

Cheryl, I am so glad to hear you are feeling better with the break from chemo. Hope you continue to improve.

Neuropathy sucks. I have it in my feet from diabetes and I hate it. Sort of like walking on barbed wire. If the test they are sending you for is the one I had for carpal and cubital tunnel it isn't bad at all. Just a bunch of needle pricks and some little electric zaps. Then they can tell if a nerve is pinched in one of those two tunnels. I've had to have all four of mine surgically released.

One of the side effects of Lyrica can be weight gain. Some people put on up to 25 pounds. Sounds like that won't be a problem for you! I've had good luck with Cymbalta for neuropathy. Its approved for diabetic neuropathy - I don't know if they look at chemo induced neuropathy differently.

Good evening ladies

Cheryl - I am so happy to see your posting. So sorry to hear about your neuropathy though. I am glad you are getting some of your strength back and the appetite too. One day at a time. Hang in there sista!!

Laurie - so good to see you posting too. You sure are busy.

Sha - I am sure you are having a magical week end. Enjoy, Enjoy.

PatsMom - I am sure you are hearing about that little girl on the news. I remember that is all they talked about around here when the little boy disappeared and sadly it turned out horribly.

Well in the mail today I got a letter from the endo's office cancelling my Jan. appt, due to "unforseen circumstances". Umm, remember what I went through before. I will call on Monday and see what date they can give me. I am sure it will be in the middle of a snowstorm or blizzard day based on last years weather.

Also when I was out shopping with dh, I had such a terrible bone pain. I didnt know whether I wanted to scream or cry. I am going to take some tylenol tonight. I guess I better call for that infusion.

GTAGWTA.Blesisngs to you all always.

Good afternoon ladies

Hope you all had a wonderful week end

Sha - I am sure you had the best week end for sure

Cheryl and Lisa - hope you are both feeling ok

smilie - I am sure you are on the road

Candy - how is your dd

PatsMom - so sad about that little girl

Linda - enjoy your pool time

Laurie - hope you are catching up with all your work

Please keep Alyssa in your prayers. Her brain surgery is wed. This tumor is in a different place. Her sis is flying up to be with the family. She is due sept. 21st.

I spent alot of time today on the phone. Got a new endo visit the week before my other one. They also told me the sec. will call me back to arrange the reclast infusion. Called about another med bill. I told them I paid the copay and I have my cc statement proving it etc. They researched it and are crediting my account properly, that was the ent dr., then I called to cancel a magazine I never ordered or cant remember ordering and then I had to call and pay one of the ds car ins. Too much time on the phone. Dh is happy with the new sheets. I was dreaming of an amish quiet. Anyone see my thread about that. Wow, with those prices I guess I am going back online and looking at the jc penny clearance ones. There were a few that looked nice.
