To be young and fancy free. . .

No DVC rooms except SS 1 bedrooms during the race for the cure weekend, so I am definitely going offsite. Trying to decide between the Hilton or the Wyndham bonnet creek. I am really in a rut here. Maybe I should try for a regular Disney room and mix it up a little. No discounts for that period right now I don't think.

Anyone else besides Sha planning on that weekend? Sha, I would love to be on your team. Count me in. I am a walker though, not a runner.

Patsmom I am there that weekend you arrive... my HS reunion is going to be in Orlando vs Ft Lauderdale.

Maryann like Laurie said, the weather is cooler with less humidity, but can still be pretty warm. Hit or miss sometimes. I hope that DH will take you to see the whales sometime... wonder if he was sprayed with whale snot??? (okay.. consider it as it is... that is their blow hole where they breath from )

Might have a skype visit tonight... depends on how late he works.

Sha - I hope you will be able to have a nice skype visit tonight. Whats the old saying, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Your class reunion sounds fun like Lauries. I have never been to mine. I need to talk some of my friends into going but they never want to.

So did anyone read my little thread about the CVS pharmacy. It was totally frustrating. I was thinking of calling today, but now there was just another robbery of a local cvs so I am sure they are focused on that. I am sure some of you read about the horrible fathers day pharmacy killings here. That was very close to me. So sad what being addicted to drugs can do. 4 innocent lives were taken.

Dh said he didnt talk to me for 2 days as the phone reception was bad. Ds told me they saw orcas. He will be home tonight. Dh leaves again July 15th for Russia and China. Never ends for sure.

LMP- I hope your DS comes back with good pictures. Hopefully your DH will get on the same page even if you may have to turn the pages in his book yourself. I went to Disney in September and it was hot! There were a few showers here and there but the weather was ok for me.

Annrae-It's good to hear from you! Keep hanging in there girl. I feel so bad for your neighbor. What an awful thing to happen. And no symptoms either. Prayers for both of you.

Sha- Keep ridn' that and remember you are worth it.

Lisa- How's Meg? I know with my accident. I was a bit nervous to drive anywhere for a while. Hope her aches and pains are healing. How are you? Been swimming?

So my DS is thinking of moving out. I know he is not ready but he thinks he is. Money manangement and he has school still. He wants to move in with 2 other people who think much like him. I want to discourage it but if I do I know that will make him want to do it all the more so. So I am trying to point out things here and there. Any advice????

Good afternoon ladies

News around here. Avastin and someone ripped off a breast cancer charity. How low can you go?

Candy - your picture is cute! My ds wanted to move out too. After I started asking him about all the bills I think he realized there was no way he could do it. Basement apartments which are illegal around here but the cheapest are $900 a month. We said why would you want to live in a fire hazard with no windows etc. We said are utilities included, what will the food costs be, you need to buy your own laptop, will you get cable etc. I think that opened his eyes. He still doesnt pay rent to us and that is making me really mad. But in my I dont get mad, I get even mantra, I told dh I will decrease his monetary wedding present one day by what he never paid us etc. He eats our food, uses the water,cable,toilitries, we pay his cell phone, but its on our family plan and way cheap etc. The only thing he pays for himself is his car payment.

Laurie and Linda - same as you, I was looking at rooms and its slim pickings then, not even Swan unless there is no discount. I cant even find rooms with dh ff miles. So I dont know if this will work out for us. We would only stay at a deluxe or the Swan.

Well I just found out my endo visit is when dh is away again July 18th so he said to change it because he wants to talk/listen to the endo too. He always tries and asks her to lower my synthroid but she always says no way etc. I will work on that tomm.

Ds has said he will go and help start decorating our room for vbs at church one day this week. Good. It will definetely take more than 1 day.

Sorry to be MIA......the past month or so has just been very difficult. I was scheduled for chemotherapy today, but after discussing it yet again with my oncologist my DH and I have decided it is time for a break. We've agreed to a one month break and then we will see where to go from there. It has just come down to a quaility of life issue.....at this point in the game the best the chemotherapy can do is keep the cancer in check, but the price just seems too high if I can't even function. So, hopefully in a month I will feel somewhat better and be in a better place to make further plans regarding treatment.
I will try to post more when I start feeling better.

Saw a patient today that is dealing with Lung Ca. Kind of been a down day for me but all good in regards to R.

I am having outpatient surgery tomorrow at noon to have my IP port removed. Meg is taking me there and back and then returning to UCF after I'm settled at home.

If everything goes okay I'm scheduled to start the next course of chemo on July 8th. Here we go again. . .

Doing dh . 15 days and he leaves again for Siberia and China. I told him I am getting so sick of this. He now says for his new job he will have to go to the west coast alot, sigh, sigh. I dont know what our week end plans are, just cook out probably. Maybe do some shopping. I will have to see when ds can help decorate. Next tues. dh has off and I wanted to spend time with him, now its gonna be doing that. sigh. Maybe he can help and it can go really fast.

Didnt sleep well last night. Had a hard time getting to sleep. R. was sweet... I wanted to see him online but he works on computers all day. He had texted saying that, but then called to make up for it I guess. Then this morning he sent something (text). I was driving so called him back. I am enjoying each day as it comes.

Lisa - how are you feeling post op today? Hoping you are recovering and not in too much pain.

Linda - Bet you will get alot of pool use this week end for sure!

My dizziness is popping up again at night, usually when I turn my head or get up and down from bed. Its annoying. If it doesnt stop after his 3 months I guess I will have to go back.

Well ds23 came home yet and told us he got fired from his gym job. He left for the week end on that trip to Mass. and asked one of his friends, not an employee, to cover his shift. Well the kid couldnt make it and ds didnt get another sub. I should say, it was his fault. But he has worked there for 5 years, always covering shifts etc. He only made about $1k total and did get the free gym membership. Oh well, he says he is happy. Ds19 belongs to another gym and he says he will go with him etc. At ds23 gym they have had problems with cleanliness etc. Ds even got athletes foot once in the shower, begged them to close the pool once, they had to totally chemical shock and scrub it etc., There were also mushrooms growing up out of the floor in the area he worked with the kids in. I guess it will be for the good. He is the 3rd employee in 6 weeks to get fired. There is a new boss and they are losing money, so the writing was on the wall I guess. I feel bad as none of our ds has ever been fired from a job. They have quit, but never fired. Oh well, life lesson here.

Cheryl, I will be praying for you too. I hope that the break allows you to build up some strength to continue treatments.

LMP - sorry to hear about your DH's continued travels. It is tough to be home alone when you are healthy, and I'm sure much worse when you aren't feeling well. I'm sure he doesn't like leaving you either. Also sorry to hear that your son lost his job. Maybe it will be a wake up call for him and he'll develop a little more responsibility.

Sha, if you are going to be at WDW the weekend I arrive, we will have to try to meet. It was so much fun meeting Laurie and Marianne on my last trip.

Got my letter from the urologist today. In addition to the visual screening, the urine cytology identified nothing alarming. Saw my primary care this week because I wanted to change my statin drug after reading the FDA warnings about the high doses of simvastatin since I've been having leg troubles off and on since I started taking it. The problem I have is that it is hard to tell what might be medication side effects and what is side effects of the cancer treatments. Finally we agreed that I would switch to Lipitor, which will be generic this fall. So only one or two expensive fills as a name brand then it goes on the drug plan's cheap list.

Looking forward to a quiet 4th of July weekend! Hope everyone has a nice weekend and gets some downtime!
