I am not sure if I am posting on the correct board or not. With the updated Search on Dis Boards, on advanced search where I enter my username to search for posts that I have responded to or started, I only those that I started. I used to be able to read all posts that I posted in. This was a great way to keep track of things I was interested in. I don't want to subscribe to all posts and I repond too, my e-mail would overflow :rotfl2:

Just wondering if anyone else has this problem :guilty: or has overcome this issue. :confused3
Thanks :goodvibes

I used to do that too.. it was really handy. Now you can do a search, come up with threads that you have started and then click on your user name and select "Find more post by this person". That is what I do... HTH :)

I was having the same problem, but I didn't realize that it was only posts that I started! It was only coming up with older posts so I thought that it was a date issue, but now I see that you are correct.

Thanks for the suggestion, jjan! I'll have to try that! I never remember what posts I've responded to and I know I've been losing track of some.

Julie,
Thanks so much
I knew there had to be a way to find my posts. I don't always need to subscribe and fill my own mailbox :teeth: So thanks for the heads up! :wizard:

OK I just tried this and couldn't find "select Find more posts by this person."

Where was I supposed to click on my user name? I clicked on it in the list of searches under one of my posts. Was that correct? Any help would be appreciated.

Hopefully I'm awake enough to answer this and make sense :) Find a post made by yourself (like the one right above my post) and left-click on your user name (right above where is says "greet each new day as a magical journey." one time and a drop down menu should appear that says something like Email User, PM User, Find more posts by User etc. Just click on "Find more spots by User" and it will search and list them all. Does that make sense? If not, let me know and I'll try again :)

I hate the new search! I wish that it would go back to the way that it was. I found it much more helpful. I was able to search out data without asking too many stupid questions. It was really nice to be able to pull up more or less anything that I wanted on the DIS.

I miss the old search function. If anyone here has the power to change it back, please, I am beggin' ya! Maggie

Julie,
It worked great! :goodvibes :woohoo: Thanks so much

You could also change your personal subscription setting to "no email notification." That's what I did. Then the threads will appear on your User CP page. There's a long thread about this at:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1200933

but the gist of it seems to be that not enough people have expressed their unhappiness with the new search system for things to be changed back. The new system is better for other reasons, so we've got to live with it.

Anyway, the above link is a good place to voice your opinions, yay or nay.
