Hi,

Can anyone give me directions from OKW to crossroads? Thanks

Coming out of the OKW gate, turn right (Community Drive). This road will take you past the Disney Institute. At the end of the road, make a right. This is Buena Vista Drive, get in the left lane. You will see Downtown Disney & Hotel Blvd will be on the left (Hilton on one corner). Turn down Hotel Blvd and when you get to the light (535), go straight and you're at Crossroads!

It's a strip shopping center. There is a store that sells Disney stuff, it's not called Disney, I think it might be Character Connection or something like that. It's the same stuff & prices as Downtown Disney. There is a grocery store (Goodings) that is very overpriced, some restaurants (TGI Fridays, Jungle Jim's and others).

For information on the Crossroads of Lake Buena Vista, see http://orlando.retailguide.com/data/m101629.htm

There are several restaurants, including a a very enjoyable Pizzaria Uno. The Goodings grocery store is a very nice 24-hour supermarket; it charges higher prices than Publix, but it's so convenient to OKW that it's worth it for smaller orders.

Crossroads was built by Disney on land owned by Disney, but officially it's outside the gates of Walt Disney World.

When you travel to Crossroads, instead of going straight through the light, turn right (& get in the left lane) and turn left at the first light after going under the bridge. Follow that street until you pass a church and you will find an outlet mall that has a Character Premier Store similar to the one at the Belz Outlet.

As long as we're doing directions...the church is the Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine (Catholic Church) that is often mentioned. You'll also see a sign about Little Lake Byran as a landmark for getting to the Shrine and the Outlets.

It's good that you mentioned that PAMOKW, the church at Mary Queen of the Universe was started on the WDW property and they still do Sunday Mass at the Poly. It is very beautiful and very large. You can get info on the Church and Mass schedule at maryqueenoftheuniverse.org
