Directions from DW to Clearwater Beach

We are heading to Disney World from April 24-May 2. We want to spend April 30 at Clearwater Beach then catch a Tampa Bay Devil Ray game in St Petersburg. We are 2 single moms and need help with directions. What is the best way to get to Clearwater Beach from DW and then from Clearwater Beach to St Petersburg for the baseball game? Also, does anyone know what time the gates open at so that we can get parked and to the game before it starts?

I usually take Rte 4 from WDW, south, to 275 (also known as 93), then take Rte 60 (Memorial Highway). This will take you across the Courtney Campbell Causeway into St. Pete/Clearwater. Can't help much with the stadium, but if you google it, you should be able to figure how to best get there.

That's exactly the way we go when coming from WDW.

As for getting to Tropicana Field you can take 275 North and follow the signs and you can not miss it.

Can anyone tell me about how long it will take to get from Orlando to Clearwater Beach?

It usually takes us an hour & a half, although that's if there is no major trouble on I-4 and I-275.
