With the latest increase in direct sales, what's the resale going to hit? VGC going up an unreal $50 per point and Poly $44 and VGF moving to $220 direct which brings that up $35.

I know resales prices slightly move up as the direct sale's prices move up. I see BLT (for example) went up $7 direct so we can see a $2 or $3 jump in resales on average.

But first, do you really see someone paying $235 for VGC direct? And if so, will resales top the $200 mark for VGC, VGF, and Poly? Right now VGC is averaging $155 with direct at $185.

I personally think we'll see contracts with fewer than 100 points hitting $200 before the end of 2018. So, if you're lucky enough to have 50 or 75 points at one of the previous mentioned resorts, and you were thinking of selling, better wait it out a bit.

PS, I tried to post this yesterday, but no idea what happened to it. Hope it's not out there under a random forum!

Even though it's for SSR, you're making me feel good about our decision to buy in last year!

There will be tons of "new" people who have not been watching DVC for months or years. They will inquire for the 1st time...hear the price...and decide at that point.

the value is there and the price will continue to go up as long as there is perceived value.

Yes, prices will continue to go up, and people will continue to pay them, as long as there is a market.

This is a fun article about the same topic from a couple of years ago. Those prices seem like a huge bargain today.

As long as the economy stays strong (no guarantee), and Disney remains popular (a pretty good bet), prices will continue to increase.

No worries. I found it and since there were no replies to that one, I just deleted it. :)

I can’t believe how expensive Dvc is now.... even resale.
So happy I bought in 2006!!

I am WLV:snooty: owner and I was shocked to see my home as one of the lower prices per point(resale).... and one of the highest dues!

Still ecstatic with my purchase!

A someone who just bought this past summer, I am already excited that I am not looking to purchase right now. The price of DVC contracts has increased even faster than the stock market, which is in an extreme bull market right now.

I will be curious to see what will happen to things once the economy slows down. I am sure the prices will go down, but doubt they will fully follow the stock market, as it is a very niche market.

In 2003 everything was under $100 a point direct. When VGF began selling, we bought 40 points, so we have some points that cost us over $150, and I could hardly believe we were buying them, we were near 70 years old then.

Owning DVC been a very special experience for us.

I'm glad I've bought in 2012, my contract is now worth nearly double what I paid for it. To be honest, I think in the current market, I wouldn't buy, not even resale.

If more people gets the same thinking then the resale prices won’t increase that much. But if people buy regardless of price then it will continue to increase.
