Direct/Resale Booking Issue

Anyone have issues booking Riviera when you have both a direct and resale contract? Recently bought VGF2, tried to book RIV this morning and I had so much trouble actually viewing RIV availability and by the time I could the room was gone. Didn't know if the infamous Disney IT was to blame or if there is something that needs to be fixed in my account. Thanks for any help :)
 
The website has been even worse than normal today. All you should need to do is pick Riviera to view the availability. When the issue occurred in the process might make a difference in my response. :)

My poly (resale) contract defaults as the primary. So I change the contract, choose RIV and this is the response I get.

The 7 month window is not yet open for 10/28 and unfortunately the DVC website doesn't always list what the actual problem is when you try and book too early. :rolleyes: I've experienced it for example when trying to book right at 8am when the window opens but being a few seconds too early. On 3/28, if the Riviera room is still available then it should work ok.

Are your Poly contract and your VGF under the same UY and membership? If so then you don't have to change anything before you start searching other than to click on Riviera. You can uncheck both Poly and VGF if you want but you wouldn't have to and it would just show availability at all 3 resorts. Then you'd go to the Riviera and select the (hopefully) available room. Once you do that it will only show the VGF contract to use points from.

It does it with any date I put it, wether the 7 month window or not. I’ve had better luck on my PC than my phone but even then it only shows up maybe 50/50, if that. I may have to call IT to see if there is some issue with the resale contract and the system not recognizing I’m searching with the direct contract. Thanks for the insight 😁

Well that's a bummer! I don't recall seeing that issue before. Hopefully IT can figure it out.
