direct Eurostar - when to book?

Hi can someone please remind me when you can book the direct train - is it 9 months in advance? Never been direct before and hoping to find a good price for school hols next year. Thanks!

I believe they are still operating the 9 month booking horizon for the direct service. I booked our Eurostar tickets in January for my October trip.

I've been told end of July/beginning of August for the next batch of tickets starting from mid December, so not sure if they are still doing the nine month window :confused

I was told that they only release the schedules and tickets 12 weeks in advance, hence the tickets with my package being subject to slight timing changes, but have been given prelim times until they are fully confirmed.

With the direct train you can definitely get tickets further ahead than this. Last year the tickets for May half term were available from August onwards.

It's generally up to 9-10 months in advance that they're released. As mentioned above they're released in batches so it's best to keep an eye on forums like this to see if anyone has heard about specific timescales.

Thanks everyone. We're looking at Easter or may half term next year. really want the direct train this time so perhaps I should ring Eurostar and ask. Will post here if I get any info!

If you want the direct train for May half term then be prepared for the fact that the starting price for this year was higher than the usual basic price of £69 return. We called on the day of release and tickets were already well over £100 each, partly because they raised the starting price but also because tickets are on sale to groups and travel agents before they're released to the general public. I don't know if they do the same thing at Easter.

Spoke to Eurostar today to enquire when tickets for June 2015 will be released and was told that the next batch of direct tickets will be released on 10 July for travel up to 4 January.

Followed by a release on the 7 August for tickets from February 2015 to July 2015.
