By extending their sale, Direct Air is giving me 3 more days to deicde if I should give them a try or not. I do realize that I have to get a car and factor that in and also baggage (which we don't utilize to the most anyway), but still it will cost us less than 700 bucks to get there.

My concern is that I will have to change my dates a bit as they don't seem to fly out on Tuesdays, but that could be worked out (I do have 3 more days for that as well:rotfl:).

Any thoughts, anyone flew with them before?

Oh decisions, decisions....

My friend has used Direct Air twice and loves them! She says friends use them and have no complaints. We're flying Direct Air next Friday and so looking forward to the little airports. I don't have any fear booking with them.

Thanks for the reply. How long is the drive from Lakeland to WDW? I was thinking it is Sanford, but I heard Lakeland is smaller and easier to navigate.

We are booked with them for the end of April. I also bit the bullet and booked another set of flights with them for August last night:scared1:
We bought AP's so 700 for 4 return flights plus all of us being off for the same 2 weeks end of summer was a no brainer. :)

For our April flight we have a one way rental with Hertz for the day. The counter is right in the Lakeland airport. We'll take it to Universal as we are staying onsite there for 2 nights and there is a Hertz location at the Universal resorts. Then we are renting from Budget about 5 minutes away from Universal for the rest of the trip and driving ourselves back to Lakeland.

I read in another post that the Hilton Garden Inn is next door to the airport in Lakeland and you can walk over so we booked that the last night of the trip because our flight leaves at 7:30 am.
Even with the rental cars and paying for seat selection and one night at the airport hotel it was cheaper than direct flights out of Buffalo by a bit, AND we'll have a rental car the whole time for whenever we don't feel like the buses.

I will write a full report on the experience in here when I get back.:thumbsup2
