The last time my wife and I were at AK we rode Kilimanjaro Safari and loved it. We didn't ride Dinosaur because it was broken. We'll be back there next week. If you can handle the bumpiness and jostling of KS should you be able to handle D or is it significantly rougher?

The bumpiness and jostling of Dinosaur is a lot more rapid and severe than the safari IMO. You kind of have to brace yourself the entire ride. It's super fun but if you are sensitive to being jostled around a lot, it may not be the ride for you.

I think the amount of jostling and bumpiness is about the same. The difference between them comes down to the speed and size of the ride vehicles in Dinosaur. You just feel it a bit more but I don’t think that is necessarily more severe

Would agree that Dinosaur has much faster movements then Safari has. Much faster turns and twists, but I dont' consider either to be a harsh ride. You may need to hold on more for Dinosaur

OP when was the last time you rode KS? I know years ago when they did the poachers skit it was a lot more bumpier then it is now. My family and especially our DDs loved the older version with the "chase' part of the ride. I wouldn't say Dinosaur is bumpier but it does have a lot more stop/start jerking.

For Dinosaur….I literally have to hold my neck the entire ride - it’s awful for those with neck issues. I really shouldn’t ride it, but I still do :rolleyes2 This ride is much worse than the safari.

Below is a picture from 2 years ago - I’m in the back holding my neck.

We find the farther back you sit in the safari trucks, the bumpier the ride! But we still think Dinosaur is bumpier, faster, and a bit more 'jerky', if that makes sense. Plus, don't forget. The zebras are not going to eat you, but those dinosaurs....... different story! Hope you get to try Dinosaur this trip - it's an experience we enjoy!

Both bother DH’s back but Dino seems to be worse for him. He still does one Safari per trip and sometimes skips Dino.

As others have said, Dinosaur is faster and can definitely move you around in your seat a little more. I find that if I push with my feet a bit to brace myself, it's not too bad.
