We will be arriving to check in at RPR around dinner time. Plans are to eat and maybe take a swim before bed.

Looking for restaurant recommendations that would appeal to preteens. We won't have a car so something walking distance or accessible by on site transportation.

Thanks!

I would recommend NASCAR Grille, Margaritaville or NBA City at CityWalk. He would enjoy any of those places.

Thanks, I'll check those out!

Is Bubba Gump's any good? My son is a definite shrimp lover! Margaritaville looks like it may be a good fit too.

Why not get something at the pool, and just spend the evening there, or Jakes Bar at RPR

Bubba Gump's is OK...not the greatest but not bad. For seafood, I prefer Joe's Crab Shack but that's just me. ;)

The Bula bar at RPR is excellent. It is outside beside the pool. Their hamburgers and salads are delicious.

I'd recommend Bula or Jake's. City Walk places are excellent, but my kids LOVED the pool. If your son is anything like my kids, he'll prefer to just eat at the resort and have more time for swimming. My kids loved the poolside movies there, too. (Although I'm an early riser and after the movies my kids wanted to sleep in.)

Just remember that if you order by the pool or at the Bula Bar, 18% tip is automatically added.

Totally agree here! My kids love just eating by the pool and the food is actually pretty good. :thumbsup2 I can't think of a better way to spend an arrival night (other than going to WWOHP and getting a butterbeer - sorry - going through withdrawls at the moment). :goodvibes

My son is 11 too. He picked the Nascar Cafe. We are trying it for the 1st time on our arrival day. We will be arriving in 3 days.:dance3:

We're just back from a week at the RPR. We loved eating by the pool. You can order by the bar or just order from your lounge chair (that's how we roll). The food is actually great!

At Citywalk my DS12's favorite spot is NBA City. In fact we all loved it. It's our favorite food in Citywalk. Order the cinnamon-sugar strawberry dessert, you won't be disappointed!
