Dinner, then breakfast, for adult and 6yo: suggestions?

After spending the last day of the Festival of the Arts in Epcot on February 20, my 6yo daughter and I will probably be hungry. The next day, we are going to Animal Kingdom around 1pm, and having a 3pm lunch at Tiffin's, as part of the Rivers of Light dining extravaganza.

So I'm making relatively last-minute ADRs for dinner and breakfast on adjacent days. I'm hoping you can help me get inspired.

1) We've never been to Boma. Is this a good time to go to Boma? It seems like a lot of driving for two people who are sleeping at Marriott's Harbour Lake. I've heard good things about breakfast there, but is it that much better than dinner?
2) Because we've either been or have plans to go, we are skipping 'Ohana, 1900 Park, Sanaa, and anything in the parks or Wilderness Lodge.
3) Ideally we'd do the luau or hoop de doo, but it's a Monday night and 8:30 is too late for my daughter to eat dinner.
4) Maybe we just nibble on food at the festival stands? Will the lines test a 6yo's patience?
5) We also have to go grocery shopping at some point. Thus the reluctance to drive all the way to Boma for breakfast on the 21st, then to the grocery store, then to Marriott's Harbour Lake, then to Animal Kingdom. Maybe we go grocery shopping after dinner on Monday, on the way back to our timeshare?

I would consider an ADR in Epcot for that dinner, and then do Boma for breakfast the day after ROL.

Via Napoli, Spice Road Table, Marrakesh and Teppan Edo all come to mind as fun.

The morning after ROL we have plans, otherwise this would make sense. I have been toying with just having dinner at Epcot before leaving. Of the restaurants you've mentioned, I'd veto all of them but Via Napoli because we've either eaten at them or have other plans to. For someone who regularly eats pizza in New York City and New Haven, is Via Napoli worth the effort?

with a 6 year old, how about a character meal?
or have you done them all?

Good question. At this late date, the only ones available that we haven't done or planned are dinner at Garden Grove and breakfast at Cape May. Not the most inspiring choices.

we actually like the character breakfast at cape may a lot, but that requires getting yourself to the beach club - not necessarily an easy task..

Well, VN isn't New York style pizza, for sure. It's Neapolitan, which is a thinner crust and higher heat.

hmm. I'll have to try Via Napoli at some point.

I since I posted this thread, I made a 10:30am reservation at Boma. I also became inspired by Chip & Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long, so I made reservations at Trail's End for 5:15. Now, how do I get from Epcot to Trail's End?

I love the Cape May breakfast. It's a killer to get to but worth it for me.
Good for Epcot via International Gateway :-)
