Just a few thoughts about each meal.
California Grille: This had great reviews, we had never been there before and were excited to go. The view is great and we got there early so we grabbed a drink and went out on the deck. Great view.
Our server was friendly and very helpful. We started with one of their flatbreads which was phenominal. My wife got some wine which she loved and we ordered out food. She got spicy sushi and some ravioli dish. I ordered the only steak on the menu. Before I go on, let me just say I like meat. Maybe a typical guy thing to say, but I like food, and lots of it for dinner. My wife loved her sushi and also her ravioli. Personally I did not enjoy my dinner. My filet was not cooked well, and was really pretty small. The portion of potatoes that came with it also left more to be desired on my end. Even my wife's ravioli was tiny, but she was full because of her wine and sushi. I grabbed some food later in the night before bed.
Overall, I would not recomend Cal Grille unless you're going for sushi and wine. For the price, the entrees just aren't worth it, IMO.
Shula's Shula's was a very good meal. Pricy, yes, but I thought the steak was phenominal. I ordered a strip steak and my wife got the Prime Rib. The prime rib is HUGE 32 OZ!, and it is really really good. The strip steak was also excellent. In addition to the steak we ordered a salad, and it was the best salad I've ever eaten. The tomatoes we amazing.
Big River Grille We stumbled across the big River Grille walking down the boardwalk. We went in, and it was packed, but we lucked out and grabbed two seats at the bar. I love breweries and this did not disappoint. Good beer, great barbeque. We ordered ribs and potatoes, and it was phenominal. House brewed beers also pretty good.
Forget to mention my wife ordered some cosmo type drink that the bartender recomended. She loved it.
O'hanas Again, I love meat, so how could Ohana's possibly disappoint? For those that don't know, this is an all you can eat meat place. Steaks, Turkey, Chicken, Sausuges, and others! They bring the meat around and you choose what you want. My only recomendation is take it slow. Only take small portions at once, because I found I would take too much at once, and the meat I would get to last would be cool. So I just got more. So that is my suggestion. Pace yourself, and take smaller portions. You can always get more, and it will be warm. Great meal and I would definately go again. They also gave us a free dessert and lei's and special treatment because we both had birthday buttons on!
We also ate smaller meals at Rainforest Cafe (good), ESPN club (eh, not great, don't go for the food), Sci Fi (decent), Nine Dragons (good, a little pricy for chinese, but it was good)and the italian place in the Magic Kingdom (forget the name, but pretty good.)
