Dinner package Fantasmic/How early do you need to arrive for seat?

We have purchased the dinner package at Hollywood and Vine for the Fantasmic show.

I understand that our seats will be in a reserved section of the theater.

How early do I have to arrive to get one of these seats?

If I wait too late can I close my seat? For example, if I wait until 15 minutes before the show starts to get seated, will my seat still be there or will they give it away to the public?

We just did this Monday. I believe the crowd can come in at 7:30. We entered at 7:20 and it was already crowed with the people that had the package. All the center section seats were already taken so we sat on the side, we still could see everything.

I am doing this for the first time in November and was wondering the same thing...

They will NOT guarantee you a seat from 30 minutes to the start of the show.

If you want a seat you should get there at 45 minutes before to no later than 30 minutes before. They WILL open the seats up to the general public at 30 minutes prior.

I've done the package many times for fear of a line at the main entrance but have finally decided it isn't necessary for when we go in August, Sept, Oct, Nov, and beginning of Dec.

We arrive about an hour before and we are right in the dead center.

I think it depends what time of year you are going. We went less than a month ago and did the mama melrose fantasmic dinner package. We were told that Fantasmic that night was 8pm and that we had to be at the gate no later than 7:30. (We were also told they closed the gate then) well we got there right at 7:30 and at showtime (8pm) 1/3 of the stadium was still wide open!
Sometimes they have 2 shows, the later one should have more openings.
