We're planning to go to Goofy's Kitchen for dinner during our stay in late September. I've been checking the DL calendar for an idea of how busy it might be, and at least so far, Disney seems to think that the weekdays will be slow (park closes 8pm), but weekends busy (Fri. close @ 10pm, Sat. close @ 12am)

So I'm wondering: Better to plan a Goofy's dinner on Saturday, when the park will be most crowded? Or does that mean Goofy's will also be packed? Would it be better to plan on a weekday?

We really don't like dealing with crowds, so I think our Saturday at DL will be a short day; we'd probably spend the rest of the day at DCA. I probably should also mention we'll have two little boys with us (DS6 and DS2.) The Goofy's dinner will be in celebration of the older son's 6th birthday (in August.)

We like to go around 5:30pm, the food is fresh and the selection bountiful. Last year there were many characters that visited.

Yes, I was thinking an early dinner, 5:00 someone suggested, so I guess anywhere between 5:00 - 5:30 would be good. Do you think better to go on Saturday though?

Alex2kMommy - Just made our PS for Goofy's Dinner in Sept today for 5:30 friday evening. Figured food might be fresher, more characters at the beginning (they open at 5:00), plus since it's our last night there we'll have time to wander over to RofA area for Fantasmia and hopefully a glimisp of the fireworks afterwards.

I'd probably go to GK on Sat. or perhaps Friday. You want to take your time and enjoy Goofy's and this would still give you time to go back to DL for fireworks after dinner. If you went Thursday, you would be using up time that would be better spent in the parks IMO. Even if Goofy's is booked up on Friday or Sat., it won't impact your enjoyment much if you go early.

Thank you all. That's kinda what I expected, I just wanted to hear it from the experts before I made the PS. 'Cause it's that time again, WOOHOO!!! :thumbsup2
