Dinner for one at a resort?

Hi all -- I have a friend who, while she doesn't understand my Disney love, is willing to give it a chance. She will be in FL with a rental car and a free late afternoon and evening. She doesn't want to pay for a park ticket (I get that) but I was thinking maybe I could have her go to one of the resorts for dinner and then maybe catch electric water parade and/or fireworks. So a monorail resort. Where would you all suggest for a solo diner (she likes wine)? It's soon so an ADR is likely out of the question, but she would happily eat at a bar or lounge.

Can't wait to hear your ideas and suggestions!

Yes, you can park at a resort without an ADR. She needs to let them know what she's there for and they will ask to see her driver's license. She might still be able to get an ADR for 1. It's not peak season so her chances are greater. I'd suggest you give her the names of the restaurants at the monorail resorts and have her look at the menus online. That way she can decide what sounds like something she would enjoy.

I would suggest she try to get an ADR. The monorail resorts can sometimes restrict parking, and if her time overlaps President's Weekend/Valentine's Day, all bets on parking may be off.

I'd go with Artist Point, if she wants a nice place, where there is a good chance a reservation would be available now. And the Lodge can provide the "wow" factor. (Plus, the Lodge rarely has issues with parking filling up.)

Water Pageant gets there at 935 on most nights.

She could try Citricos as well. The food and service are very good. It doesn't have a view of the fireworks, but she could walk down to the dock after dinner to see them. It shouldn't be hard to get an ADR.

I'd say the obvious choice...Cali Grill...Great wines, food atmosphere, and also the view for fireworks...:confused3

Cali Grill or Citricos. Both have nice wine lists, a decent menu, and are the kind of place that's nice to sit and relax in an adult atmosphere.

I was going to say california grill as well for the view plus the piped in music from the park and fireworks. And the food there I think caters to wine drinkers :)
