Dinner for a large Group-Ideas Please!

HELP! Please! I've been wracking my brain to try and figure out a place for 30-40 (not exactly sure of the count) people to have a dinner on Disney property the Night of July 8th.

I wanted Trails End but they said they won't do it. I spoke with dining reservations and they had no ideas. I spoke with the banquet manager and he suggested reserving the pavilion at Ft. Wilderness but that is over $30 per person for hot dogs and burgers - pretty pricey even by Disney standards.

The only criteria we have is it MUST be Friday, July 8th after 5p.m. and before 8:30 p.m. and it cannot be inside a park.

Can anybody come up with some ideas?

Disney restaurants will be tough. You're not looking for first seating and I don't think you have enough guests for a ballroom or private restaurant like Ariels.

You might call Swan/Dolphin and Spoodles and see what they can do for you. I think S/D has some private rooms near Fresh that might be the right size for you. If money is no object Shulas will be able to handle your party.

Doesn't Disney's Magical Gathering department work on requests like this?
