Any recommendations would be much appreciated. I have heard great things about their sandwiches at lunch but am curious what people choose for dinner. It will be my wife and I, along w/ daughters, 5 and 2 1/2. Our youngest is lactose intolerant but we have already been in contact with chef who was going to help us out with that issue. We are going to enjoy a long weekend, October 8-10th and will hit MK on Sunday. We have an ADR for 4:05pm so will probably catch parade near "Casey's" and then head on over to eat.

The Plaza is a must do for us every trip. Their lunch and dinner menus are identical. Our favorites include the burger, club, ruben, and philly. The browine sundae is HEAVEN!!!!

Other than the 'daily special' (which has been meatloaf for months now, so unlikely to change any time soon) and the entree salad (chicken with strawberries and gorgonzola and white-zin vinaigrette... :cloud9: ), there is nothing on the menu there that isn't a sandwich/burger.

Which of course doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with the sandwiches or burgers...

I am a big fan of the Plaza, I adore eating lunch or dinner there with a direct view of the castle.

We ate there the last night of our vacation and loved it. We had Chicken with rice soup and a salad for an appetizer. We had the philly and the turkey sandwich. Both were really good, and we had amazing desserts. We had the strawberry cheesecake and the banana split and both were amazing. The entire meal was amazing and honestly one of the best on our trip.

We always eat at the Plaza on our last day at MK. It has become a tradition with us.

It's basically a sandwich place. While we enjoy the sandwiches, but the main draw for us there is the ice cream desserts...perhaps not the best choice for lactose intolerance?

We love eating at the Plaza. Their chicken sandwich is really good as well as their desserts (especially their brownie sundae...nom nom nom!)

It was great, the fries are the best!

DH had the cheesesteak sandwich and I had the reuben and we shared...it was excellent food.

Love the club and the soup is delicious! We eat here every trip. I do hope the construction blocking the windows is done when we go next time though. But, it's definitely worth it to us!

I'm glad to read all of these positive marks on the Plaza. We are trying it for the first time on our upcoming trip.

We ate there last month & had a 3 PM ADR. We had the cheesesteak sandwich, burger & tuna sandwich. They were all excellent. And the home made potato chips were sooooo good! :thumbsup2

Ended with hot fudge sundaes, YUMM! We were not hungry for anything other than a very small snack later. Good choice! Hope you find things your DD can enjoy, too.

OHHHHH! I forgot about the tomato soup! I will be gtting dome of that this trip as well. SOOOOOO GOOOD!!!

We ate there last week and my husband thought it was one of the better meals that we had eaten anywhere at Disney. The portions are big so if you are not a big eater, you can split a sandwich and it will be plenty. The sundaes are also good. There was a super nice cast member that found a buzz pin for our son while we were there!

Enjoy!

DH and I eat there every visit. We share the club sandwich, which leaves room for a great desert! We never leave there feeling hungry. Have always had excellent service. In fact, one time, one of the servers bought us over a small b'day cake as a suprise desert for us. When I told her that it wasn't either of our b'day's, she just winked and said - "well it must be somebody's b'day somewhere, right?" We ended up taking 1/2 the cake back to the resort with us. She was soooo nice - wrapped up the remaining cake, put it in a small box, and then into a sack with handles. Granted, we carried the cake around with us until we left, but since we were only shopping before heading back to the resort, wasn't a problem at all. Can't wait to get back there at the end of November!!!
