Dinner at Kona before MNSSHP workable?

I have a 5:20 res for dinner at Kona Cafe the night we are going to MNSSHP.
I was thinking we would do MK all that day and then monorail over to Kona and then monorail back for the party. Do you Disney veterans think this is a good plan? Or more trouble than it's worth?

I also wanted to just comment on how helpful everyone on this board is!
I have rarely sought info on a board where members have continually anwered my ?'s and been so great! I really appreciate it!

I think it sounds workable. You could even show up a few minutes early at Kona Cafe, say maybe 5:00, and I wouldn't be surprised if they'd seat you right away. Allowing 90 minutes for dinner, that would have you back on the monorail by 6:30 or 6:45, and walking up Main Street right at 7:00 - sounds good to me!

We did Kona for dinner last year before MVMCP and had plenty of time to eat and make it to the MK.

You should have plenty of time. The party starts at 6:00 so you probably won't be getting there until a little after. You shouldn't miss much though. We are doing almost the same thing you are. We are going to O'Hana's for an early dinner at 5:00. We figure it will be a little less hectic (probably not though) than having dinner in the MK since they are offering the package deal with Tony's and LTT and everyone will be there. We will just boat it or monorail over after dinner.

I am interested in hearing any more responses you get, as so far we have 6:20 ADRs at LTT in MK...I am thinking that is TOO LATE...the party starts at 7 pm and I do not want to miss any of it. So maybe I will cancel LTt and go to Kona instead!
