How is dinner at Cape May Cafe?

I've tried breakfast there, and just about hated it. But the person I'm probably going on my next Disney trip with really likes that type of seafood. The menu isn't so appealing to me, so I know I'd never book it for a solo trip, but if it's any good, I know my companion would like it.

We enjoyed it...we actually went back the next night...and my kids requested it for our next trip...

My husband does not at seafood and he liked it (and found food he could eat) carving station... their are many choices nd the desserts are wonderful....

We really enjoy it and usually dine there twice during our stays. In addition to the seafood there are numerous other choices including carved meats, usually ribs, and usually a pasta dish to name a few. The desserts are awesome!!

We love it! There is not much seafood there but the "regular food" is awesome too! Click on my October link for a ton of buffet pics

We go there on every trip. We stay at the Beach Club and eat there for dinner at lease once a trip. The kids enjoy the food and the deserts. My husband and his daughter do the seafood and my daughter and I do the rest of the food.

We had dinner there for the first time in '07 and we were really surprised how much we enjoyed it. Needless to say we are returning during this trip and we're all looking forward to it!!! :thumbsup2

Our last two trips have been kind of buffet heavy to make it easier to manage my nephew (5 months old on one trip, 14 months old on the other).

Cape May was definitely a highlight for us on our last trip ... we're going back this trip (just 3 adults this time).

We ate here and enjoyed it.

DH and I are seafood lovers so we had a great time with the selection.
DM and DB are not so into seafood so they ate mostly the regular selections. The ribs are AWSOME.... My kids enjoyed the mac and cheese, the chicken nuggets were not so great though.
The best part the OREO BON BON'S.

Enjoy:thumbsup2

I did this solo in January, and after having the Oreo bon bons :cloud9: , dragged my DH there in March (he hates seafood as much as I do) - there is a lot of food to choose from, he enjoyed the ribs and I enjoyed the chicken. We were stuffed and thought it was good, so you won't be disappointed. What didn't you like about the breakfast since I was considering trying it in August?

We enjoyed Cape May for dinner, but like the OP we did not like the place for breakfast. We found the breakfast to be your typical around the corner $5.99 breakfast buffet except with a $19.99 price tag instead.

We'd go back for dinner again, but breakfast I'll pass.

We ate there last year for dinner and loved it! And yes, had my share of the wonderful Oreo Bon-Bons too! When making our plans for our vacation this summer the whole family agreed on staying at the Beach Club Villas and one reason was the Cape May Cafe for dinner. Can't wait for the end of July to get here! :yay:

The service was horrible. That was the main thing, and really ruined my mood for the whole meal.

The food was all right, but is much better at other breakfast buffets. The character interaction was also low, and the characters took forever coming around to the tables.

We ate there for dinner in '07, and we were unimpressed. The food was not good, and the dishes were constantly empty on the buffet. Sounds like our experience may be unusual though.

Cape May is always on our list - for dinner, not breakfast. Can't put my finger on why we like it so much - probably the clams or peel and eat shrimp. LOTS of choices for those who don't like seafood. Highly recommend it.

We ate here last December. I do not eat any seafood, but my husband had read about it and wanted to try it. He loved everything he tried, but especially the ribs. Like someone else mentioned the chicken was very good, as was the mac & cheese. We will definitely be going here again this December. They have made their way onto our Must Do list.

The chicken was baked and was extremely juicy. Baked chicken is so easy to overcook. I was impressed that they didn't overcook it.

I'm so excited to read such good reviews about the Clambake. We will be eating here for the first time in August. I'm so ready! :goodvibes
