We’ve got dinner reservations at California Grill at 6:45 PM the last week of January. We’re going to be spending the entire day at MK and then plan to head straight over for dinner. MK closes at 8, and we’re planning to watch the fireworks after dinner from the balcony – should we expect to be done eating by the time they start? Would we have time for dinner and desert before the fireworks begin – or should we expect to have to interrupt our meal to head out to the balcony to watch the fireworks? Trying to get a sense of how the evening will time out so I know what to expect.
Also, we’ll be staying at POP and we’re FL residents, so we’ll have a car we will be parking at the TTC center in the morning (we’re planning to rope drop MK). We’d really like to avoid the after fireworks crowds heading out of the park and back to the parking lot. Would it make sense to leave MK at about 6 to go move the car to the Contemporary parking lot? Would that be enough time to do this or should we leave earlier than that? And is parking free at the Contemporary since we have dinner reservations? Or would it actually be smarter to just walk over from the park before our reservation time and then take the monorail to TTC afterwards – will the crowds be that bad and is that maybe a smarter option? Not sure whether to move the car or not. Just want to avoid the crowds as much as possible at the end of the night.
Thank you!
