Dinner and Illuminations.

Just hoping someone can tell me if there are Restaurants at Epcot in the country's where you can see Illuminations. We've done Rose & Crown twice and loved it, but was hoping to find another one. Any help? TIA.

In addition to Rose and Crown, Spice Road is also good as is Tokyo Dining. But as with R&C you aren't guaranteed getting a table with a view and they are at a premium around Illuminations time

Most will tell you that you are better off eating early and getting a spot outside.

R&C is the only restaurant that offers a viewing area to go to if your table does not have a view.

Tokyo has some tables along the front windows but not that many, and what happens if you don't get one.

La Hacienda again will have some with a view and plenty without. Reports have come from there from many that they were not permitted to wait for a window table.

Spice Road has very few tables along the water and there is zero space to move to watch them. You would have to stay at your table. In addition there is an island that partially blocks your view.

Here is the Spice Road Patio, you can see maybe 5 seats along water, the further in you go the more likely people, heaters, ceiling etc will cut off your view. I am leaning on the outer rail so this is the entire patio length. The second one shows the island. The indoor seats would be about the same but island probably more a problem.

Oh really? I didn't realize this was the case. We have a 7:50 p.m. ADR and I was just crossing my fingers for fireworks view (not crucial, but would obviously be nice!). So is this like CA Grill where you can get up and go watch the fireworks and then go back to your table?

In answer to the OP, we lucked into a window table with an amazing fireworks view at La Hacienda when we went last October. Like everything else, it's luck of the draw

If so, then yes, you can ask your server to hold your table while you go to the R&C reserved area, and then come back to your seats for dessert/drinks while the park empties out. Though, with your ADR time, you might not be done with your entrees yet when Illumination starts.

R&C's last ADR time is 8:00, so you'll be one of the last parties seated. Given that, there won't be any parties waiting for your table when you're done, so there will be no rush to leave your table. The minus is that you'll have to take what you get in terms of table location, as yours will be among the last open tables for the night.

Great, thanks! I didn't realize that you could do this. We plan to check in early and there are only 2 of us so hoping we'll get seated on time and we already know what we're ordering so hopefully that will expedite things. Great to know this is an option for the fireworks viewing!
