Dinner - Akershus or Garden Grill

we have a 3 year old son and 5 year old daughter. We will see the princesses at Cinderellas Castle and in some fast passes, and we will see Mickey Pluto at Chef mickeys, The BBQ, and Tusker House, Chip and dale at BBQ too. Just seeing which people like better, Akershus or Garden Grill?

Food is way better at Garden Grill IMO and I like the atmosphere. I have boys though, so seeing princesses has never been a priority

Garden Grill all the way! We love Akershus but only for breakfast. Garden Grill is our absolute favorite character dinner. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is different and the character interaction is the best- past 2 times we had dinner there, the characters came around 3 times. And since you are already eating at CRT, you'll get to see the princesses there.

Haven't done garden grill, but Akershus is horrible. Avoid it at all costs

The Garden Grill is the best for character interaction. It's much smaller than the other character locations so the characters spend more time at each table and since we have often seen them twice during our dinner time.

What type of food do you like? Garden Grill is boring American, with guess the fish of the day. Akershus is toned down Norway entrees, with a limited smorgasbord of smoked fish, cheeses, and cold cuts as the appetizers.

If your doing CRT, i would totally go for Garden Grill over Akershus. I was not at all happy with our last meal there. The first time was wonderful but they changed it.

I did not particularly enjoy Garden Grill, found the food to be very bland but my husband loved it and the character interaction was second to none both of which were why I booked it in the first place. I loved our lunch at Akershus I thought the food was very tasty and fresh. If you're already meeting all the characters elsewhere though why not book at one of the other Epcot restaurants? There are plenty with great food and theming that could keep your littles entertained.

We liked the food at both, but for character interaction I vote Garden Grill. Best character meal we've ever done, hands down. Akershus has been very hit or miss for us; the princesses often seem to be in a rush and many act as though they'd rather be somewhere else. Of course, character interactions can be subjective, so YMMV.

If you have done all the characters, why not do Coral Reef? Fish is cute too.

We have done both Akershus and Garden Grill. Will never ever return unless they make huge changes to the menu.
The characters are fine. But the seats are tight in both and food is horrible.

If you MUST, then Garden Grill.

I loved the cold buffet at Akershus and the entree was pretty good too,but I still think about thwt cold buffet.
