Dining with the Fairy's

If I got to decide on the next character meal, I'd choose the Seven Dwarfs. Feel free to disagree with me. I won't get upset over it, not that the OP did, but you know.........

I think both ideas sound wonderful.

Can you imagine how far in advance you'd have to call to dine with Tink, or some of the pirates?

Personally, I wouldn't want to share my pirate. I'd want a romantic dinner with him alone. (that is providing he looked like Johnny Depp). ;) Come to momma...

The only thing I need to add, and DH agrees, that granted there are more princess *meals*... there are almost all boy *rides*

...you don't support something others would enjoy because Disney hasn't given you what you want. It doesn't have to be an either or thing. Disney could make a fairy meal AND a "boy themed" meal but the people on this thread feel the need to "protest" a fairy meal because Disney hasn't made a pirate meal yet.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I simply answered the question: "Wouldn't it be great if Disney created a dining experience where you got to eat with all the fairy's from pixie hollow!" My answer is no, I don't think it would be wonderful. If they're going to put in yet another character meal, it would simply be wonderful to include something that boys would like, as well as girls.

It's my opinion. You don't have to like it. You don't have to agree with it. You certainly didn't have to come out with both barrels blazing simply because you disagree. You think it's a good idea. That's fine with me.

But, it's all moot anyway, as there IS no fairy dining option and Disney won't give me a vote. If Disney does decide to put one in, great! Go. Have fun. It won't affect my vacation. It's just one more restaurant where my family won't be dining. The guys don't care much for Princesses (well, DH is kind of fond of Jasmine). Fairies might put them over the edge. I might be able to talk them into a Seven Dwarves themed restaurant, though. That could be fun!

My girls would love a fairy character meal, but both my girls would also love a pirate meal too. I think both would be awesome. :)

I have two DD's so it isn't a boy/girl no rather I don't like too many character meals. I loved CT and Askerhouse for lunch and dinner BEFORE it went Princess because the quality of the food has dropped.

If they ADD a restaurant, OK but I don't like having my options limited.

These meals tend to be mass fed/ buffets which I don't mind having a few but I don't think we need any more. It is why I've never been to LTT for dinner only lunch. It is a hidden gem in MK. The food is terrific.

I do like the idea of the "Pirate" meal, only because I was never fond of the CS restaurant that is there currently across from POTC and would like another TS in MK. Pirate night on DCL is immensely popular due to the movies and it strikes me as odd they don't try to cash in on that.

i would be ALL OVER a star wars themed restaurant character dealie-oh or like a BBB but with makeovers for boys that included pirate or star wars or whatever...omg i would TOTALLY LOVE that-jeez can you tell im a mom of just boys and i get excited over this? LOL.

oh and i forgot to add-nah i dont think fairies would be that awesome-but my husband would disagree :)

Disclaimer: I'm not big on the character meals in general, and if they ever did what I think would work, I'd want them to cut some other meal in favor of this. I have a DS 3.

I think they should do a Peter Pan character meal and have a meet and greet with Tinkerbelle like they do with Cinderella at CRT and don't they do something similar at Akershus where you meet one princess in a seperate room. You could "shrink" going in to meet her and then meet the rest of the characters while you eat. I'm pretty sure that Tinkerbelle is the primary fairy that most little girls want to meet, so that covers that basis.

Then to top it off you have, Peter Pan, Hook and Smee for the boys and Wendy for the girls too. A good mix for both. JMHO!

I highly doubt this would ever happen or where it would fit in well, but I think a good option to cover both sides of gender line.

When you ask a question on an internet board you will get a mix of responses.

No one was rude in their responses so I don't get why some are upset because everyone wasn't thrilled with the idea :confused3

The folks who responded give us a 'boy' meal or gender neutral have just as much right to express their opinion as those that would love a fairy meal

And since this is a 'wouldn't it be nice' and isn't even a rumor, please be kind to each other in your responses

thank you,

What a WONDERFUL idea! I would enjoy that meal and I'm not crazy about character meals.

I like the pirate (Johnny Depp style only) idea as well. But put it in a club on Pleasure Island for women 21 and up. That will bring buisiness back for sure.

As for the fairies I say no. I want them to stay magical for my girls.

While I like the fairies idea, I think it should replace an already existing girls focused character dining.

I LOVE the villains and toy story themed ideas!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I'm a huge Tinkerbell fan but I'm also a Mom to 2 boys........so, what I would like is if a Fairies meal would replace a Princess meal and for them to also make either a Pirate, Villain or Pixar meal for the boys. :thumbsup2 That's what I would vote for~~~wouldn't it be great if they actually made it a vote?

I wish they would bring back the villians meal, but it most likely won't happen. It was a fun experience, but there were lots of kids that were scared and another problem was that people took it too far with the villainous behavior and started being rude to each other.

BTW the villains they had at the dinner were Prince John, Governor Radcliffe, Hook, Queen of Hearts, and Cruella Deville. (not always, but this was the usual line-up) Occasionally Jafar or the Evil Queen showed up.

I love the Peter Pan idea, or the Pixar idea.

Does anyone remember when the building that is now PLayhouse Disney was a character dinner?

Disney is just starting the big push towards the 7 - 12 year old market with the Fairy franchise, so if you don't think they are gonna come up with a Fairy dining experience, you're naive imo.

If/when they do, why not use it to replace either the Cindy dinner at 1900 Park Fare or the Stitch thing at Poly.

Having said that, I totally agree that a character meal catering to boys is way overdue. I would vote for a pirate: meal over at the CBR maybe. Seems like the most logical place but not sure if Shutters would be adequate for that.

I think that would be cute!

What others, besides the 3 princesses are for girls only? Chef Mickey is for both, Winnie the pooh is for both, lilo and stitch - BOTH.

Oh I do! Soundstage Restaurant...It was a buffet and Jafar, Genie and Aladdin were there, and I think you went upstairs to meet Mickey or something....

That would be awesome!!!! My daughter would love it! Obviously there are more Princess meals b/c they are the ones that sell. I have 2 boys and would like a boy themed one sure but fairies, would be so great! As an adult I would even go to it b/c I love Tink! I think it's a great idea OP! I don't understand why so much negativity.
