Wouldn't it be great if Disney created a dining experience where you got to eat with all the fairy's from pixie hollow!

If they did this, which restaurant do you think should host the meal?

No, I think Disney has enough dining w/characters for the girls. They really need to work on a dining experience for the boys. pirate:

The fairies would be cool but there are a lot of princess type meals but maybe if they did do a fairy meal how about at Hollywood Studios ... Not sure where though. I have a great idea for the boys. How about turning the CS restaurant across from POC into a Pirate themed TS type character meal? They could use another TS restaurant at MK and Pirates would be really cool!

NO.

There are more than enough character meals as it is now. If I were going to put in another one, though, it would be one geared for boys. Poor little guys get left out of nearly everything in favor of princesses. Now, it's fairies. :confused3

When will Disney realize that boys deserve some extra attention, too?

I would love a boys themed or even villian themed.

I do think there needs to be a real boy themed meal and Pirates would be good.

I am not a fan of the Fairies idea (unless they replace princesses with Fairies at one of the three princess locations)

I love the idea of a villains, pirates or even Toy Story themed restaurant though!

Wow - I can't believe that grown adults are being so mean about a fairy meal. Its not the fault of little girls that Disney has lots of princess meals. I think little girls (and maybe some boys) would LOVE a fairy meal and to think that thier are Disney fans who would speak out against it just because thier boys don't have a meal they would like is really really sad.

As for why I think Disney probably won't have a fairy meal - fairies are still supposed to be very very small. In order to see them in pixie hollow you have to go through the shrinking forest and become teeny tiny yourself. Disney could make a restaurant like this but it would have to be COMPLETELY redone or brand new and I don't think they will go to the expense unless the fairy merchandise goes crazy and becomes bigger than the princesses. Which is also why, btw, I think they don't go to the trouble of making more "boy" friendly (which I dispute would be only for boys like princesses are for girls, I've not seen a boy meal idea yet that would not also appeal to a large section of girls)meals.

I definitely think a pirate/villains theme would be cool, too. Honestly, the only reason I posted about the fairy restaurant is because I was getting an "ugh" feeling when thinking about standing in a long line for pixie hollow.

I've got the Mickey characters covered by our reservation at Chef Mickey's and the Princesses covered at our reservation for Akershus, but my dd still wants to see Tinkerbell.

Oh, well.

Hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to the long line we go....... :tinker:

No. It wouldn't. There are alrdeady too many meals geared towards the "little princesses." It's time to get one for the boys that [have parents that] like to go to WDW, too. Or, God forbid, bringing the Villans back. If it's too scary for the little kids, don't bring them.

I remember when they used to have the Villians dinner at 1900 Park fare. It was Governor Ratcliffe from Pocahontas, Queen of Hearts, Prince John. I can't remember who else, but it was fun! I would love if they brought that back.

If they were to have a dinner with the fairies I would love that just as much. It would be really pretty if they had it somewhere like the Crystal Palace that lets in so much light.

Pirates could be gender neutral as well...little boys would love it and girls can be pirates too! It could have appeal for everyone and if Captain Jack is there the moms too:) LOL

I agree with you..........I can not believe the negative statements being made about a Fairy encounter while eating. I think the idea is cute. And I know if there was away to have a meal with a Fairy I would be right there along with my daughter and my son.

I think it's a great idea! The Fairies are so popular now, Disney would make a fortune. Granted I have a daughter, but I have seen many a little boy blush after getting a big lipstick smooch from a Princess, and refuse to wash it off for days! C'mon, the fairies are HOT! lol

No more character meals geared towards the girls!!!!!! We're doing 6 character breakfasts over 7 days and 2 of them are "princesses" (Storybook and CRT) -- we have 2 little boys and only 1 girl (but the boys are too young to care and notice that the princesses are more "girly"). But when we go down in a few years that probably won't be true.

I don't know what the theme for a predominently boy breakfast (or other character meal) should be -- personally I'm not really in favor of Pirates (personal thing), but I would really love to see a character meal geared towards the "princes" rather than the "princesses".

Still love the princesses though.....

I have two little girls who love princesses and I'm STILL on the "no" side. Fairies are supposed to be itsy-bitsy, and you need the shrinking thing to make it make sense. Give us a Pirate meal - my girls would be all over that and so would I!

I think a Pixar meal would be a blast, too - just a mishmash of various Pixars would make so many people happy, somewhere at Hollywood Studios.

Yeah. I'm a big meanie because I don't think the fairy idea is a good one. :sad2: I don't know about anyone else, but I have never had either of my sons, nor my grandson ask to go to a Princess themed anything. They cringed when I suggested having a meal in the castle. I forced it last year. My poor grandson was mortified, but he went.

I've not seen a boy meal idea yet that would not also appeal to a large section of girls)meals.

That's not a problem. No one suggested that girls be left out. Something geared toward both is fine. The problem is that, overall, boys are left out and I think it's wrong of Disney. It's supposed to be a family park, but Disney seems to forget about the boys.

EXCELLENT idea!

Please people if you don't like it don't go, give me a break and don't ruin it for others. Sure there are things at Disney I don't like and guess what I don't do those things.:confused3

Well, since this thread is all just conjecture and there isn't any such dining option available, what harm is there in discussing it?

Yeah. I'm a big meanie because I don't think the fairy idea is a good one. :sad2:

!

Your not a "meanie" (your word not mine) because you think that a fairy meal is a bad idea - your a meanie because you don't support something others would enjoy because Disney hasn't given you what you want. It doesn't have to be an either or thing. Disney could make a fairy meal AND a "boy themed" meal but the people on this thread feel the need to "protest" a fairy meal because Disney hasn't made a pirate meal yet. Thats what I think is sad :sad2:
