We will be traveling with a large group and there will be 2 kids under the age of 3.

If we are going to a buffet are the kids under 3 free? or do we need to pay? I am a little confused when all the menus say kids 3-9 for buffet and sit downs.

Can someone clarify this for me. I want to buget my meals correctly.

As far as I'm aware, if your children are under the age of 3 and, therefore, don't need a ticket to the parks, they can eat free at buffets or off your plate in a sit-down restaurant.

Yeah, I had the same issue when we went down a couple years ago. I thought the way they worded that is a bit confusing. If your child is under 3, they will eat at the buffets for free. If it's a menu-dining or counter service and your child wants something, you'll have to pay for his/hers or share your own with them.

I actually have an answer - last visit (8/07) I brought DD (2yr10mo) and DS (13mo). We didn't have to pay for them at any buffets. When we did a sit down table service, I usually ordered something for them, and we would pay for that out of pocket, since the DDP is not available for under 3.
This trip (April, if everyone keeps their fingers crossed) DD with be 3 and DS will be 20 mo, so she will need to be paid for but not him.

I hope that helps. BTW - I NEVER had a hard time from the servers about paying for the kids under 3. (I did have AR for all restaurants though)
