Dining with another family?

Hi, this is the first time we've traveled to Disney with another family. When dining has anyone asked to have your meal split on two separate bills? And if so was this a problem.

We did this at almost every meal in 2004. DH, DS, DD, DDbestfriend and myself on one order. MIL, FIL, SIL on another order. They never made a big deal out of it. At least not in front of us!!! We made sure to tell them ahead of time!

We have always found WDW restaurants to be just like any other restaurant so they are great about splitting the tab for you =)

Every time we asked for seperate checks it was no problem---

We generally tell the server before ordering and have never had a problem. Now since we have the DDE card, we just pay for everything and let the other group pay us back so they can get a discount as well.
