We love the WL and Artist Point.
Dinner with a WDW Engineer at WL ?

What was discussed at dinner ?
What types of questions can we ask ?
Any hidden secrets given out at the dinner ?

It would cost our family $400 to do - even though our teen DD would most likely eat the kids pasta dinner. She is not big on fish, beef or lots of sauces.

Is the dinner worth it ?

Thanks !

It's an Imagineer (the name Disney uses), and the dinner at Artist Point was discontinued a couple of years ago. They still have a lunch at Brown Derby and a dinner at Flying Fish.

Dinner with a WDW Engineer at WL ?
. . . as mentioned above, it is at Brown Derby

What was discussed at dinner ?
. . . from those attending, any topic is OK to ask
. . . lots of "how it was made" discussions

What types of questions can we ask ?
. . . anything that is not a secret or proprietary
. . . so go ahead and ask - they will say if it is out-of-bounds

Any hidden secrets given out at the dinner ?
. . . none that are not currently public
. . . no info on future rides or discussions of new rides

Is the dinner worth it ?
. . . depends upon your evaluation

We've done it twice (lunch at the Brown Derby). There was a lady at our last lunch who was on her 35th imagineer. She provided them with a list of who she had already eaten with and that is how we got the Imagineer we did. She also had a dinner scheduled at the Flying fish later that week. So obviously some people think it is worth it.

The meal at the Brown Derby is totally awesome. It is the best we had during the trip. They make you feel special. You also get a private tour of the restaurant itself.

It is fun learning how the imagineer got to the position. They all have very diverse backgrounds.

I intend on doing it again on our next trip.

Lunch in the brown derby is in a private room. Dinner at the flying fish is in the restaurant, so I imagine it is not as personal and a bit noisier.
