Dining with a picky teen

I am wondering if they will let my 15 year old order from the children's menu at table service restaurants. She went vegetarian last year, but doesn't like anything spicy. It really limits her choices at many places. She is happy having Cheese pizza, Mac n Cheese, very basic salad, etc, but will they let her do that?

My daughter is 18, a vegetarian and fussy . She frequently orders Mickey macaroni in an adult portion.
When she does not order that she ask the kitchen to make x y and z; often a tweek of something else on the menu

Yes. They'll let her order off the kids menu. I'm a picky (super taster, texture issues, and food also just doesn't agree with me and my doctor can't figure out why) adult and have done it before. There are also ways to tweak some items as well. I can stand (and enjoy) extreme tart and sweet, but I can't stand strong flavors or any spice beyond that.

If it's a sit down, the portion is often increased and the price is too. The other places you can just get the kids meal if she wants the smaller portion.

My favorite go to meal is the Mac N Cheese bread bowl at Pacific Wharf Cafe. I get it "on the side" as I don't like my food touching. I normally don't like Mac N Cheese I don't make, but I love what they make at Pacific Wharf.

Anyone can order off kids menu at counter service no problem. As monied above, at table service adults can order off kids menu as well but you will get charged adult prices and sometimes act a bit more portion. You can not get a kid's portion at a kid's price however.
