Last December, we dined at Garden Grille with a 2 year old and they brought her a kids meal at no charge. I know that at buffets she can have her own plate (also at no charge). I was wondering what they do at the pre-platted meals - specifically CRT and Akershus. We have reservations for both in May. Will she be brought a kid's meal at no charge or will she have to eat from our plate? She is not a big eater so at CRT breakfast I am not concerned especially since I know we can order additional food for us if need be. I am more concerned about Akershus since we don't think she'd like anything from our plates (we are going at lunch). If need be, I will order her a kids meal at Akershus (and pay OOP since we are on the DxDDP) but I was curious if anyone had any experience how this was handled.

Thanks.

When DD was 2, she was given a complimentary plate of french toast sticks at CRT breakfast. Sorry I don't know about Akershus lunch.

It depends on the restaurants I think. When we were there last some places gave my 2 year old stuff ( cinderella castle gave him pasta w butter) and other restaurants I had to buy his meals .. I guess just see what they say but be prepared to buy it if you have to..

December 2010, CRt gave DD the buttered noodle plate mentioned above.

January 2008, Akershus, I'm pretty sure DS ate off of my plate. There's the cold bar with cheeses, etc, which I'm pretty sure was the majority of his meal.

In November, my 2 yo daughter was given her own pizza kids meal at no charge. I have read on the dis boards that Akershus will bring you a second entree at no charge as well b/c it is treated as a buffet restaurant or something like that. Their portions are small, and they did bring my son another entree b/c he gobbled his down quickly. And they brought us a second dessert plate, too. We loved Akershus so much that I tried each day of our trip to book a second meal there....but no luck b/c it was booked. Enjoy!
