Hi all!

We're heading to the World in Sept. with our 2-year-old DD. I know she eats for free since she is under 3. What options are we given for her at non-buffet restaurants? Will she just eat from my and DH's plate or will they bring something for her? Will they let us order something for her from the children's menu even though they don't charge for her? Last time she was still doing the bottle thing, so this will be our first time to actually "dine" with her. ;-) TIA!!

You have two choices with a child under 3. You can either feed them off of your plate, or pay for a meal. They will not give you a meal free.

She will be charged at non-buffet/not all you can eat meals. Under 3 is only free at AYCE meals, not table service. I think kids' meals were around $5 or so.

As others have said, if it is a buffet, children under 3 eat free, but at a Counter Service or Table service you will have to pay if you want them to have their own food.

You can give them food off of your plate, or if you have their own food, you can give that to them. When we went in May we brought some food for our 2 1/2 YO since he was very picky. There were times we bought a sandwich or other food from a previous meal and give it to him.

Don't feel funny about asking for an extra plate if you share with her. We did this with both of our DDs. My older one especially was a picky eater, and would mostly just eat off of our plates. Now that both of our DD's are over 3, we joke that the younger one makes up for the money we spend on the older one at buffets. :goodvibes
