Dining Walk-Up Question (Chef Mickeys)

Hello! Does anyone know how close you have to be to try to join the Walk-Up list using the app?

We just booked a trip but CM is booked the entire length of our trip. We have to do it and are willing to way (as we have before). I've looked several times on the app and it seems like the chances of getting a walkup (at least right now) are pretty good, I'm hoping it's the same when we go. However, I'm "too far away" get in line. I'm just wondering if we have to be at the Contemporary to even try?

Not sure about the walk-up list, but have you tried setting up a TP reservation finder? That's worked for me several times on other high demand restaurants.

I think you are going to need to be inside the Contemporary or very close to it. We are staying at VGF right now and I was even too far to get on the waitlist for Narcoosees. I had to exit the building and start walking on the path toward GF to get on the waiting list.

I have gotten on the Geyser Point wait list from the boat prior to docking at WL but the docks are probably no more than 100 yards from the restaurant. Apparently you need to be pretty near to be recognized.
