Part 4 of our dining experience this trip
Here is a list of places we ate in order of appearance and review. All are first time places for us.
Caseys
Rose & Crown
All Star Café
Yakitori
Tangier Cafe
Thursday May 29 - Caseys
Took the Steam Train Tour so we were in MK anyway. So had a dole whip and ate lunch at Caseys. The dole whip was very good and the hot dogs were pretty good (better than American Adventure). Are there two types of relish at the fixings bar? If so, I go the wrong one.
Rose and Crown
Our PS was for 7:00. We arrived a little early. They didnt have us in the computer but since we were ahead of the Illuminations crowd, we were able to get a table. We were seated inside and were able to hear the piano player (she is no Bob Jackson).
My wife had iced tea and I had a draft beer special drink (combination of two beers) but I cannot remember which one. My DW had a soup as an appetizer and I had a stew. Entrees were assorted pot pies for my DW and bangers and mash for me. The food OK. Not sure we'll be back anytime soon. Nothing bad to say, there is just so many other places to eat.
Friday May 30 All Star Café
We went to WWOS to see if the pressed penny machine was working. (It was not) (Oh well, have to plan another trip LOL). We walked around the complex until the café was open. We were the first ones in the cafe. Nice and cool. Many TV screens. They have a special every Thursday (5-8 pm) all the spaghetti and meatballs you can eat for $8.99 including salad, chocolate cake and soft drink.
My DW had the Cuban sandwich and I had a ham and cheese sandwich. We're not experts on Cuban sandwiches, but her sandwich was much better.
Yakitori
Went to Epcot to catch Gary Puckett. There was already a crowd there at 4:30 (for the 5:45 show) so decided just to stake out a spot. So between shows I did the running. Went to Yakitori and got the Kushiyaki and Curry. The Kushiyaki was shrimp and beef on a skewer and came with (raw?) green beans. The Curry was much much better.
Tangier Café
After the second show I went over the Morocco and their counter service food place Tangier Café and got the Lamb Wrap. It was pretty good (much better than the Kushiyaki).
Conclusion
Weve been to WDW more than 10 times and I cant believe that on this trip we ate at so many places for the first time (It seems we didnt eat at all on our other visits! LOL).
The list of places we still havent eaten at is still pretty long. So many restaurants. So much food. OH well, eating and pressed pennies - we all need to have a goal in life. I'm all set
