We just returned yesterday from a weekend at YC. We weren't there too long so I don't have that many reviews. Here's what we ate:

Friday night at Yachtsman Steakhouse: We had a PS for 8:30. The lady who checked us in was not friendly at all. I liked the decor - all the wood and the lanterns. We had a table by the window (which we had to really ask for because they did not want to give it to us and the restaurant was not crowded the whole night). Our waitress was really nice. I had the halibut and DH had the lamb. We both enjoyed our meals. The halibut was really good. They messed up the cake I ordered for DH (see my YC Review under Resorts). I had to talk with the manager to get it resolved. The food was good and the waitress nice but the person at check-in and messing up the cake the management of the restaurant left a bad taste in my mouth. Will probably try one day again because always like to give things another chance. I was disappointed because I read so many good things on the DIS.

Breakfast and lunch at concierge lounge: Break - Just grabbed some stuff - bagels and yogurt for me - on walk to Epcot. Lunch - just grabbed some snacks - not sure why we didn't eat lunch - just walking around Epcot and it got late. :confused3 Not an exciting review. :guilty:

Dinner at Bistro de Paris: Great! We tried to get a PS for Le Cellier but it was full so we made a PS for Bistro for 8:15. We were a little late so we didn't get seated til after 8:30. We told them we wanted to go outside to watch the fireworks and the waiter said he would put the kitchen on hold. The restaurant was small, quiet, intimate and I thought romantic. There were some children but they were well-behaved. It was quieter than the one downstairs. The waiters were in tuxes. The service and food were excellent. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. For appetizers, I had the mixed greens and DH had escargot and frog legs. For entrees, I had arctic char and DH had the lamb. For dessert, we had the cheese plate and creme brulee with mango sorbet and a fancy cookie with chocolate or cream filling (don't remember the name but it was good). We will definitely eat here again.

Breakfast at Yacht Club Gallery: We ate at the concierge lounge in the morning. After we went swimming, DH was hungry and wanted eggs we went here. I didn't eat b/c I wasn't hungry again. He got the buffet and said it was fine. There were a lot of people eating.

Lunch - Boardwalk bakery: We just picked up sandwiches here for the ride home. I love the turkey sandwich with the curry mayo on muligrain bread. I didn't know they had sandwiches here til too long ago and they're very good. We also picked up some Mickey head rice krispy treats to take home - yum!

That's it. Hope you enjoyed the review. :)

Enjoyed reading your reviews ~ Thanx for posting.

How was the Illuminations viewing at Bistro? Do you go outside to view there?

Very informative. Thank you. :)

Uncleromulus, I was wearing a khaki skirt, t-shirt and flip flops. DH wore a polo shirt, shorts and sneakers. I would have been wearing shorts, but we went in the pool that afternoon because it was so hot and we took showers before going back to Epcot at night. But I was a little worried about wearing shorts. People were mixed. Some looked dressed up and some wore shorts.

Luv2Roam, We went outside to watch Illuminations so I have no idea how it is from inside. I think you could watch it from the window.

lillygator, Go Gators! Can't wait for football to start! :cheer2:

Hope this helps. :)

Oh yeah, we ordered the Disney Dining Experience while we were there -yeah!

I envy you, being able to drive by in a couple of hours... it takes us 16 hours to get to the Mouse's House :moped:

Thanks for the reviews. I especially enjoyed hearing about Bistro de Paris - we don't see a lot of reviews for that one.

Thanks for the info on dress. I'd heard that being in shorts would get you turned away--. Thankfully they are using some common sense, as Bistro IS in a Theme park.
