So we just got back from 8 days at Disney. Stayed offsite in WH, but dined at Disney a lot (that was the caveat, that I wasn't going to do much cooking on my vacation!). cast is DH, DS (7), DD (5) and myself.

Day 1: DHS Dinner at Fairfax Fair. DS and I shared the BBQ pork sandwich, which was delish. DD had the kids macaroni, which she loved, and DH had the hotdog with macaroni & bacon topping, which he liked. We repeated this exact meal at our second DHS day, in addition to the turkey leg, which was left mostly uneaten. Too dry and too much!

Day 2: Epcot lunch at Akershus. Food was very good here. Salad bar was excellent. DD had the cheese ravioli, which she liked. DS had the pizza, which was not very good. I had the mushroom stuffed pasta and DH had the salmon cakes. Both were excellent. Dessert was delicious. The princess interaction was really good, and the picture they presented of DD & Belle was lovely. We had some really nice German riesling here as well.

Dinner was at the Electric Umbrella, DH, DS & I had chicken fingers, DD macaroni. No complaints.

We stopped at Rose and Crown to watch Illusions. Grabbed a fish & chips and some cider. Very good.

Day 3: Kouzzina breakfast for DH & I. Kids ate at the house. I had the Stacked breakfast, very good. DH had the skillet, also very good and flavorful. His was a big portion. Good service.

Lunch was at DTD Wolfgang Puck Express. DD & I had the macaroni, which was very good. DS had the chicken tenders, which was a bit dry. DH had the meatball and peppers pizza, which was good. We each had a glass of wine. Service & ambiance was very good.

Dinner at MK Columbia Harbour House: my DH went to fetch a shrimp basket and fish basket while we got a spot for MSEP. Food was ok. Fries were good and food qanat too oily. Nothing spectacular.

Day 4: Lunch at AK Tusker House. This was quite good. Enjoyed the chicken curry and rice, pork, couscous, seafood stew, samosa, etc. Dessert was ok. Only saw Donald (outside), Goofy & Daisy. Mickey was still a bit of a wait, and my son wasn't feeling too well(not food related!), so had to leave. Didn't really like the "ambiance", they really pack you in like sardines.

Dinner at Ohana (Poly). Good service. Food, apart from shrimp, was dry. Chicken and pork were inedible for me. DH had the beef, and said it was a bit dry as well. The starters and sides were good. The bread pudding dessert was really good. A lot of food went to waste though, as their portions are huge. Don't think we will return for dinner. DH and DD enjoyed the dancing instruction a lot.

Day 5: lunch at Pecos (MK) DD had pb & j, DS had ceaser salad with chicken. I had the BBQ pork sandwich and DH had a burger. Lunch was enjoyed by all.

MK dessert party was a hit. Would repeat. Was nice to sit and watch the fireworks for a change. We had a good table and stayed there, but most ppl stand by the railing to watch. They have ice cream (vanilla) and toppings.

Day 6: dinner at Hollywood Brown Derby (DHS). Service was good. We got a great booth. Very nice ambiance. We shared the napoleon starter, which was good, but small. I had the salmon, which was very good, cooked perfectly, and the white wine flight, which was just ok DH has the filet of beef, which was very good, and the red wine flight, which was good. Kids had the meaty macaroni, which wasn't great. We shared the Citrus honey nest dessert, which was very good.

Day 7: dinner at Boma (AKL) this was very good. Kids enjoyed the food very much. DH had the red wine flight, which he said was better than them one at HBD. Desserts were excellent.

Day 8: DH and I had breakfast at Grand Floridian Cafe. This was really good. I had the Lobster eggs Benedict and a mimosa, and DH had the citrus pancakes. Delicious! Will definitely repeat. Good service.

Dinner at California Grill (Contemporary). Service was good, but food took a while to get to the table. Starters were Ceaser salad and mussels. Both were just ok. Kids enjoyed eating goldfish crackers with chopsticks. We had a nice German riesling. For dinner I had the pork, which was excellent. DH had the steak, which was also very good. DD and DS had the salmon and chicken, both with rice. Their meals were a bit dry. Should have ordered them the macaroni! View was incredible! Too full for dessert.

Overall, loved trying some new restaurants. Impressed by the sides for the kids meals (apples, grapes, carrots, fruit salad, etc). Also, a big change that I noticed from last time is that wait times after check-in have gone down a lot!

Thanks so much for your reviews..

I am sitting here imagining what the food tastes like...hahaha..

I would of liked to had a reservation at Ohana but we opted for Biergarten instead....

Thanks again for taking the time to do this
