Dining Reviews - Coral Reef, Les Chefs de France, Kona Cafe

We were on the dining plan and had a ton of food for each meal. Also we saved alot of money being on the dining plan.


March 19, 2007 - Coral reef

This was our first meal of the trip. We got into MCO around 10:00 this day and rushed over to the Caribbean Resort and got our room. After getting in our room around noon, we then went to epcot to meet my parents (who were already in the world). I was very excited for this meal so I waited all day to eat and this was my first time there. We sat down at 6:00 and this place was packed. I really like the atmosphere here, but it was very loud.

We were on the dining plan:

Dad - Shrimp Cocktail, Grilled Mahi Mahi, Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

Mom - Mixed Greens Salad, Grilled NY Strip Steak, The Chocolate Wave

Myself - Crab Claws, Grilled Mahi Mahi, The Chocolate Wave

My Girlfriend - Creamy Lobster Soup, Blackened Catfish(very spicy, but good), Brulee

I loved this meal. I always wanted to go here, but the reviews were always average. I would go back again.


March 20, 2007 - Les Chefs de France

I have dined here many times before and always love it. This time was great like all of the others. We dined here at 5:00 and it got packed fast.

We were on the dining plan:

Myself - Wild mushrooms and four cheeses Flatbread(great), Grilled tenderloin of beef, Fresh Sorbets, Biere Kronenbourg 1664 (French beer)

My Girlfriend - Cheese Plate, Seared Salmon, Creme Brulee


March 21, 2007 - Kona Cafe

I always love going to the Polynesian, so I plan a meal here on every trip. We had a reservation at 6, but got here late beacuse of long wait for splash mountain. But, we still got a table right away and they were busy.

We were on the dining plan:

Myself - Sticky Wings, Char Crusted Filet Mignon, Kilauea Torte

My Girlfriend - Creamy Kona Seafood Chowder, Shrimp and Scallops, White Chocolate Cheesecake

Thanks for the good reviews, DH& I are trying Les Chefs and Coral Reef for the first time in December. Can't wait.

I really enjoyed your reviews. We love the Coral Reef, too, and can't wait to go back. Isn't their Chocolate Wave out of this world? We like the Kona, too, but I really miss their Ko Ko Puffs! I there are other things in life beside chocolate, but . . .
