We were on the Disney Dining Plan for 5 days and can honestly say that we were glad that it was over. This is not a negative statement but there was so much good food and we are not used to eating like this for five days in a row. On a cruise, it is all prepaid and the portions did not seem to be as large, but the DDP somehow makes you feel that you have to use everything up. I will definately buy the DDP PLan again, even with the new changes. I am not the greatest at writing reviews but I feel that I owe all the people who do such a good job and help others plan their vacations. To those who do write reviews, Thank You! You helped me plan and enjoy.

Sun Dec 16: Wolfgang Puck Cafe:
Dw had the 5 cheese dip, Macadamian Chicken Breast and the Carrot cake. The cheese dip is normally enough for her or my daughter will usually share with each other at home. She ate about 1/2 of it and loved it. The same goes for her chicken dish which she almost finished. She took the carrot cake home but never did eat it. I had the spring rolls which were great, I got the Veal Wienerschnitzel which was so-so but I hardly ate any because it was so huge. I got the Key Lime Pie to go. I ate it for breakfast next morning and even though it got a bit soggy it was so delicious

Mon Dec 17: San Angel Inn;
I was a bit weary about this restaurant. We ate here in 2005 and my wife was not feeling well before so she did not really enjoy it. The atmosphere is so nice, we thought we would give it another try, even after reading all the negative reviews. This restaurant made us leave wanting to come back again soon. Even though we had to wait 45 minutes it was worth the wait. They start you off with nachos and salsa which were very tasty. DW the got the nachos, a reasonable potion, the Combinatio Cozumel (Steak and Shrimp) and the rice pudding. She raved about her entree which I found odd since she really does not like red meat. Go Figure. But the portions were just the right side. She also said that the rice pudding was good. I enjoyed the marinated seafood (Cervice) and the Camerones Con Fideos which was Shrimp over Angel Hair Pasta with a tomato sauce was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed the vanilla flan. To DW and myself, a very impressive meal!! We did notice a couple with 2 small children were eating dessert when we got there and had just left as we were getting our bill. That is why the wait times are so long here. The atmosphere was either beautiful or they were biding time till Illuminations. I thought it was inconsiderate, but that's life.

Tues Dec 18: Kona Cafe:
We enjoyed this hidden gem. We had a 5:30 ressie before heading over to MVMCP but we got there at 5 and they seated us at 5:10. It is a bit noisy but in a nice wayDW had the Kona salad, Pan Asian Noodles and the Chocolate Fondue. She enjoyed all and stated that the stir fry was nice with the pineapple in it. A real Hawaian feeling. I order the Crab cakes (WOW!!!) , the prime rib which was very good and the Banana Creme Brulee. A very good dining expeirence. It was our first time eating here, but not our last.

Wed Dec 19: Yak and Yeti:
I have never been to AK when it has been dark, so we planned this meal for Extra Hours at AK. We also had a sleigh ride@ 9:30 at the Wilderness Lodge so we could not eat too late. DW had the Egg rolls, Sweet and Sour Chicken and the Mangoe Pie She said that she enjoyed her meal, but could only eat 1/2 of it. I had the Dim Sum Basket which was very good and the Seared Miso Salmon. Very Tasty but I think that I would get the ribs next time as the people at the table beside us got them and they looked sooo good. We both could not eat our dessert so they came home with us. I also got the Mango Pie and again, I had it for breakfast next moring. It was delicious. The park (AK) was so nice at night time. Really glad that we ate here.

Thurs Dec 20; Le Cellier:
We have never eatin here before and were anticipating great things. We had Candlelight package (8:15) so our ressies were @ 5:15. We were seated in 15 minutes. The servers were very nice. I had the Beefsteak Tomato Stack wich was OK and DW had the Cheddar soup which she enjoyed and let me taste it. YUM. We both ordered the Mushroom Filet and were very impressed. Remember, my wife does not really like red meat. Right!! We topped it off with the Creme Brulee. We were stuffed. The Candlelight Processional again was so enjoyable. I never get tired of this show. If you have never seen it, Go!!

We had a wonderful vacation. Christmas time is the only time to go to WDW. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas

I completely agree about the Candlelight Processional. It is so special!

Kona is a hidden gem, isn't it? I think most of the noise at breakfast and dinner comes from the crowd waiting for Ohana. I've seen quite a few complaints on the resort board lately about the congestion due to Ohana. I wish those dining experiences were moved to Tangaroa Terrace and the beautiful view in that space was taken over again by a more sedate dining experience as it was in "the good old days."

Anyway, I enjoyed your reviews.
