Dining reviews 11/25-12/6-Lots of pics, a little talk - Counter Service - The End!

Spoodles is not my cup of tea (in terms of menu choice) Kathy but it sounds like you had lovely meals there - although I have to say your DH's entree looks like it has rice with it, not couscous :confused3

Thanks for sharing!!

Wait, we have a booze thread?:yay:

Spoodles looks yummy! I must say, I've never been there but it has my favorite name. SPOODLES, oodles, noodles, poodles, doodles...... I love the way it sounds. I'll have to get there one of these days.:goodvibes

I hope you get a chance to go there!

Joh - You are absolutely right, I forgot he asked for rice pilaf. He's not a couscous guy. Thanks for catching that, I'll have to edit it.;)

Great review of Spoodles Kathy. I had the red snapper like your husband had and really enjoyed it. After seeing that picture of the Sangria I'm definately trying one of those the next time I go there. :goodvibes

Kathy, I love Spoodles. It's a must do for me. The bread and dipping sauce is worth going for alone...lol. Great review.

Is anyone interested in seeing a TS meal we had at Universal's NBA City, it was awesome. Also anyone interested in CS lunches?

Sure Kathy, I would like to see them. I sometimes go to Universal/IOA and dine at City Walk. I have never tried NBA City.

OK! I must say we only ate at NBA City but we were very impressed by the number of different restaurants at US/IOA. I think I'd like to stay there a couple of days just to eat!!!

Our server suggested the first dish - Chicken Bleu Cheese Pasta - The Pasta, served with Oak-Grilled chicken is sauteed with garlic, wild mushrooms and fresh spinach, then tossed in a rich bleu cheese crumbles. We thought this would be very rich but the bleu cheese didn't overpower the dish.

The second dish I picked as something that would go with the pasta as we were going to split the two - Bruschetta Salad - Three slices of brick-oven toasted Asiago cheese bread topped with fresh pesto, vine ripe Roma tomatoes and Mozzarella cheese, placed on a mound of assorted fresh field greens tossed in raspberry walnut vinaigrette dressing. You can get this topped with Oak-Grilled Chicken Breast, Oak-Grilled Filet of Salmon, Pesto Grilled Shrimp or Ahi Tuna. I chose the Shrimp! Here they are:

If this is any indication of the quality of the food at US/IOA I can't wait to go back. Both of these were excellent!!!!!

wow!! Awesome report. :yay: Thanks for taking the time to post all the wonderful pictures

I love this board if only for the food pics:)

Will be going to Spoodles for sure. I might even have to save some extra $$ so we can hit BlueZoo. That seafood platter looked amazing!

Kathy, we ate at NBA City back in August and the food was outstanding. I am disappointed you didn't have a dessert though - one DH and I shared was delicious :)

And, for the record, I am definitely interested in counter service meals - anything to prolong your reviews :thumbsup2

Thanks Kathy, the food looks awesome!! I will have to it the next time I am there.

We were so full we didn't have room for dessert.:cloud9: I'll do the CS meals as soon as I can, DS is causing some family drama. I think he and his GF are breaking up.:sad1:

Thanks Kathy, the food looks awesome!! I will have to it the next time I am there.

You're welcome. Like I said, this was our first experience eating at US/IOA, but it won't be our last!:thumbsup2
