We are just back after a brief trip to WDW to check out all that is Christmas for the first time.

Our first park was AK and we had planned to eat at Yak and Yeti CS, but thought I would try to see if we could get in to the TS. The hostess said there were no tables, but we could order anything from the menu at the bar. SURE!! (I had no idea.)

We both started with a beer (early, yes but we were on vacation) and then we split the lettuce cups.

We asked for recommendations from our server and he said his favorite was the Mahi Mahi by far (so I got that) and they had a Kobe burger on special (DH got that). They were both excellent.

Our server started to pull out the menu to show us what was available for dessert and DH said "No need..we know exactly what we want". We both had the wontons (probably the biggest reason we wanted to eat TS). It did not disappoint.

We spent the rest of the day at AK until the Jingle Jammin Parade and then left for a short break before heading out to our first MVMCP.

We went to Y&Y for the first time earlier this month and enjoyed it! I even remarked that the bar area and the stools looked realy cool.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Any more?

The bar stools were super comfortable and we had a great experience at the bar.

Yes, more to come soon..Tangerine Cafe, Tutto Italia, Mama Melrose, Prime Time Cafe and breakfast at the Food Court..stay tuned!!

Love your report! Great photos!

Yak and Yeti is a really nice restaurant - love your food choices! ;) .... and now wish I could have some of those wontons right now! :lmao:

More please!!

So, we headed to MK and I trued to get an ADR for Ohana's, but no go, so we had Cosmic Rays for dinner. This was after having two Christmas cookies and some hot chocolate, so I only ate about half of the average burger and fries. So, I didn't take any pics, but I will give some advice I wish I had. We were eating there at 9:15 and I noticed the gorgeous view of the castle and then thought, this would be a great place to watch the fireworks..nope, it isn't. You can't hear the music and you would only see the fireworks immediately beside or behind the castle...so that stunk.

But the parade and decorations were beautiful, so here are some pics of that.

So, the next day we slept in and had lunch at Tangerine Cafe. This and Wolfgang Puck are our favorite CS restaurants.
We both had the lamb and chicken combo plates. We have Lebanese food at least once a week and this is very similiar.
There is rotisserie lamb and chicken, humus, taboleh (sp. -it is a parsley salad), cous cous and bread (not pita, but bread) with a cucumber yogurt tziki sauce. YUM!!

OH..and the dessert is a wonderful pastry called baklava (the ones here are made with pistachios but the ones there are pecans)

So, one of the main reasons I wanted to go on this trip was to see the Candlelight Processional. I called the day I could book that day and already couldn't get Le Cellier, but we were able to get Tutto for the 6:45 show. This also included a priority seating for Illuminations.

Here are pics of the bread and olives/peppers/mushrooms (the mushrooms were our favorite and the red olive tastes like a cross between a green and black olive)

I didn't know that we were allowed appetizers withe the package, but we were, so I had the eggplant parmigana and DH had a grilled zucchini salad. Both were really great.

For entrees, I ordered the veal (YUM!!) and DH said all day that he was going to get the lasagna, but the server talked about how good this other pasta dish with sausage ragu was, so he took her suggestion. While he thought this was good, he wished he had gotten the lasagna. Is it just me, but does the pasta look like grubs??

For dessert, I had the berries in frozen yogurt (tasted like amaretto in the yougurt, but not sure) with chocolate sauce and DH got the ricotta cheesecake.

We LUV Yak and Yeti. The ribs there are the best in "the world", and I'm a huge fan of the Lo Mein, too....

Thanks! You really should. It is excellent and rarely crowded. I think people think it may be too exotic or spicy.

Thanks for the reviews - I'm really glad you mentioned that the full Y&Y menu is available at the bar. One of these days the hubby and I would like to try this restaurant and the bar sounds like a great way to do so. :thumbsup2

Here are a few pics of the Candlelight Processional with Andy Garcia. This was our first time and it was magical.

So, we headed out to DHS on our last day and we had MM for lunch. Even though we were on the basic DDP, we ordered the bruschetta because we had it last time and it was yummy. Must be the balsamic vinegar.

We both had the chicken parmesan. DH said it was really good, but not as good as mine (smart man):lmao:

For dessert, I had the tirimisu and DH had the chocolate lava cake. When I got mine, I wasn't sure what it was, but one bite and I knew I had the right thing. Both were really yummy.
