Dining Reservations

After years of making ADRs for WDW at 180+10 days, I find that I am in need of help from you experts about dining reservations at DLP!

How far in advance can I make a reservation - is it 2 months or 3? - I have read both.

Also, if I would like a window seat at Walt's, do I ask when I make the reservation, or when I check in at the podium?

I think I know where we would like to eat!

We are staying 9 nights at HNY - does anyone know which rooms have been refurbished recently?

I go July 6th and called up the dining reservation line alst week, and the aldy was mroe tha willing to take a booking from me.

She seemed extreemely helpful and would have been willing to make a special note of us liking a window seat, but I think I shall go in about 30 mins before my booked time to double check.

Hmmm, i love DLRP, but i think there is such thing as too much. Maybe not for WDW, but i think even a big Disney nut, who is in the process of sneakily booking a trip for next week to DLRP while my ex cast member fiancee doesn't really want to go, but i pulled a sad face til she agreed , like me would maybe think 9 days is overkill.

You could have a day out in paris, and one shopping, and one at seaworld, without feeling like you were missing things in the Park! I'd love to go to paris and sealife, but know I'll feel bad about being away from the Parks for too long as I only have 4 days!

I see what you are saying, but i think gone are the days when you could do everything at dlrp in 3/4days. I think the parks have become more busy with all the new attractions. I would say you need two days just to do everything at the studios. IMO a week is ideal for the doing the parks at a relaxed pace, plus a day in Paris and the shopping centre -9 days would be perfect.

I'd love to spend 9 days there... Just take it easy with the kids, do what they want etc etc. It may be a little bit expensive though

You can book the restaurants up to 2 months in advance!

yeah i think you're right, most we've done is 5 days and that was probably enough to make sure everything was done.

Coming up to our ninth trip now, and we can easily manage everything in 3 days, probably even 2, but i guess for people who haven't been much.

Guess it also depends on the time of year too, we've been 3 times at New Year and the parks we're mad, but we've also been at times when they've been dead

Anyway, back on topic.... i have no idea sorry

Well at the end of the day its down to personal opinion of how you like to spend you holiday and what you spend time doing not how many times you have been. For me, I like to go on all the rides, watch the parades, shows etc and just generally absorb the astmosphere at a leisurely pace so that my partner and I can relax not dont feel the need to rush round- therefore for us the longer the stay the better! But everyone is different.

Absolutely not! Did 4 days last time and it was not enough. We looked at staying outside DLP to do Paris for a couple of days, but rather than the hassle of moving we thought we would stay put for 9 nights.

Anyone know about the room refurb at HNY?

I think you've just got to accept you're outvoted here, Luke!!

We stayed 8 nights a couple of summers ago and this summer we're staying 9.

We're planning on going into Paris at least once if not twice, Val d'Europe and Provins.

Mind you, I think Reid wins the trophy for the longest stay.
