Dining Reservations when merging as resort reservation

For our next trip, we are planning on staying 10 days at the same resort / same room category. I know I initially have to book this as 2 separate reservations (7 days, then 3 days). We will call well ahead to have them merge the two reservations so that we don't have to change rooms.

My question is: how does this affect our booking for ADR's? If I've already called to have them merge the reservations:

Will I be able to book all 10 days at the 60 days mark from our 1st reservation? Or will the "system" still see it as 2 different reservations and I will need to book the first 7 days of ADR's 60 days out from our 1st reservation, and the last 3 days 60 days out from the 2nd reservation?

If they have "merged" it and you only have one confirmation #, you should be able to make all of your ADR's 60 days out from your check in date. This is what we did back in September. Had a waitlist to add a night to the beginning of our reservation, waitlist came through, chatted with member services, they merged the reservation within a week or so and I was able to make ADR's for our whole trip from that added night at the beginning of our trip. You don’t have to book them as different. You can only book 7 nights at the exact 11 or 7 month window but can then modify the reservation to add days as you go along.

We usually go for 10 or 11 nights. I book my first 7 nights right at 11 months, then 4 days later I either modify to add the last 3/4 nights or I call MS & they’ll add those extra nights.
Note, my use year is Dec. & when our stay crosses our use year - arriving the end of Nov. & staying into early Dec. - I can’t modify online to add the Dec. nights but MS is able to add them when I call.
