Dining Reservations - Online or Phone?

Last time we went to Disneyland, I made all my dining reservations over the phone.

Any reason I should deviate from that plan for our July trip? Or try to book online instead?

Also I want to make reservations exactly 60 days out to ensure best availability. Does anyone know what time of day I should call to ensure that happens?

Thanks in advance!

I think the online system rolls to the new day before the phone lines open in the morning (I think it's 7:00 am). Dis'ers have reported being able to make online reservations starting anywhere after midnight, BUT it's worth noting that DLR doesn't always load everything into the system on the first day (or even the first week). So if you go online or call right on the 60-day mark and something is unavailable, it's more likely that they haven't loaded it into the system yet (opposed to being already fully booked). DLR is not like WDW. While, I still highly recommend making reservations if you know you want to eat somewhere specific or at a specific time, there are often still pretty prime dining choices available pretty close to the date (with the exception of WOC Dessert Packages, the dining packages, and the Blue Bayou or if you have a really large party).
