Dining reservations associated with hotel reservations

I previously made a resort reservation and have recently felt that staying off site might be better suited for my family. Since I booked 2 character dinings and BBB with my resort reservation will they be cancelled too? Or are they separate? Because why did they ask for the hotel confirmation?

Your dining reservations are not tied to your hotel ressie.
They ask for that so that you can book the +10 at 180 days.

Now I have no idea about BBB.
