I'm just starting to plan a week's vacation with my adult daughter (age 24) for the last week of September. It will be a getaway for just the two of us. She lives 12 hours from me so we chose to meet at WDW. The only dining must-do on my list is Cobb salads at The Brown Derby. I'd like to pick someplace in World Showcase for dinner one night. Any suggestions? Any other places that we just shouldn't miss? We will be going to LaNouba one night. Where should I plan dinner for that night? Thanks for any advice. I want to have everything planned so I can get all the PS's we need.

My Mom and I went down for the 1/2 marathon in Jan and we had wonderful dinners at Ohanas, Le Cellier and Trails End (with the WISH group) and a really nice breakfast at Cape May. Breakfast at Chef Mickeys was just ok. Have fun!

I've taken my mom to WDW a few times. Our favorite dinner spots in World Showcase are Le Cellier and Marrakesh. We've found the servers at Marrakesh to be extremely friendly and gracious, and we love the exotic feel of the place.

We also enjoy Spoodles (on the Boardwalk) for breakfast, Chef Mickey's (the food's so-so, but it's such a HAPPY place!), Flying Fish, California Grill...

Ya'll should do a spa morning, followed by tea at the GF. What a wonderful way to celebrate your girldom! :goodvibes

Thanks for the ideas. I just confirmed the dates with my daughter this afternoon so I will be booking everything this week. I love the spa idea. I'll have to check into it.

My BIL thinks this is the craziest idea he's ever heard of--two adult women going to Disney without any kids. I think we will have a great time.

I've been lurking on the boards for about a week. I'll probably have a lot more questions once I really start choosing all my options.

You guys are great. Thank you again.

No kids? Everyone is a kid at Disney! My 21 year old daughter and I are going next Saturday for 4 nights at VWL and the 3 day cruise. We go every year together. She is a Disney lover like myself. My married daughter with 2 kids can take it or leave it.
We are going to Prime Time, Boma, Marrakesh and the Brown Derby. The Derby is a surprise, we've never gone there before.

I really enjoy eating at Teppanyaki (spelling?) at Epcot, as well as The Liberty Tree Tavern and Crystal Palace at MK. Just to let you know, I'm turning 24 tomorrow and my friend and I are going on spring break in a few weeks! I would love to go with my mom, too, and whoever else would come! Disney is so fun! :)

I second the idea of tea at the GF, and I would also suggest lunch at Le Chefs de France.

California Grill with a PS timed to coincide with "Wishes" at the MK. My family had one of our best meals here on our visit last summer. Request a window seat and just sit back and enjoy the view and the food. If you like sushi, they have one of the best sushi chefs in the country working here.
I second the lunch idea at Chefs de France. They have a special French lunch menu that includes onion soup, a ham and cheese sandwich with salad, and creme brulee for about $15.
The Cobb salad at the Brown Derby is excellent. For dinner, they offer it as a starter for two people. I have ordered it as an entree and it was more than I could eat.
If you are looking for something special to do with your daughter, I would suggest lunch or dinner with an Imagineer at the Brown Derby. You actually have lunch/dinner in a special room with one of the Imagineers working at WDW. Lunch costs around $60/person and dinner is $100/person. Dinner includes wine pairings with each of your courses. You get the Cobb salad with the lunch as well as an entree and dessert. You also receive souvenir plate that is autographed by the Imagineer that you dined with. My DD did the lunch last summer and is already planning to do the dinner on our next visit.

I would also suggest lunch at Le Chefs de France.

Ditto! I like it better then the dinner!
