Wondering if anyone knows if you are allowed to choose different options for kids, or rather make your own. For example, I'd really like to make reservations at the Carnation Cafe, but I'm pretty sure my kids would prefer the penne pasta that is available on the adult dinner menu (minus the shrimp). Has anyone had success with this? (yes, they would prefer that over mac and cheese!).

Also, can anyone verify if the Mac and Cheese cone is still on the menu at the cozy cone? Looks so good! Again, for me - not the kids!

Thanks!

They will take the shrimp off but I don't know they'll make and charge you for a kids portion. Could you have the kids split the meal?

Yes on Mac and cheese cone. It comes with bacon. I thought it was meh.

Folks have generally reported being able to order adult sized portions of the kids meals (at a comparable adult entree price or double the kids meal price - it varies) at some of the TS locations, but no one has really said anything about ordering a child's portion of an adult meal. I think that at best, this would be one of those things that depends on the restaurant, the server, etc...so basically, it's one of those things that even if some one said they were successful, it doesn't mean that you can count on being able to do that. I would strongly consider ordering the adult entree and having the kids share. It's a pretty good size portion.

Thanks everyone for the answers! A good chunk of my vacation planning is deciding what tasty goodness we're going to eat... so I'm trying to peruse some TS menus to make sure I'm making the best choices for all involved (apparently it's not always about me!). I also don't want to sit down to a nice big meal and have the kids #1 - not eat, or #2 - end up paying $9 for the fruit and yogurt option (which I also don't consider to be a solid meal, when the adults are having large entrees). I already plan to do more CS than TS, I was just wondering how flexible they would be! My son will eat almost anything, my daughter not so much! They would probably split the penne quite easily and my son will snack off our plates (I see my husband trying the meatloaf!).

Thanks again!
