Ok my inlaws have DVC timeshare and have booked our trip. We'd like to make a reservation at Chef Mickey's for breakfast one day.

Are we able to do this or should my mother in law?

Also I know you need a credit card to make the reservation do they take money off at time of reservation or the date of reservation?

TIA,

Charity

You can call disney dining and make your iwn reservations. You'd need the dvc confirmation/reservation number if you wanted to link the dining, but you dxon't have to. I don't think Chef Mickey's requires a cc, but I could be wrong. We've never had to do that for CM. California Grill and The Bistro, CRT - they all need a cc to make a reservation. Could be a few others, but not many. We seldom if ever have our dining linked to our villa reservation.

The only dining thing you would need the owner's help with is the Disney Dining Plan. If you decide you want DDP, your MIL would have to make those arrangments for you -- and that should be done at least 3 days or so in advance of your arrival.

The prudent guest would not wait that long -- do it early so you aren't scrambling at the last minute.
