Dining prior to Very Merry Christmas Party...HELP

We are going to the Christmas Party on the 11th and I have decided to do lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe so we can enjoy the WL decorations and then head to the MK around 4. We are staying at the Poly and arriving that day so I thought after checkin we could just take the monorail around to the other resorts to see the decorations, then hop the boat or bus to WL. I just didn't want to waste party time eating!

I like this idea. I might steal it.


Be aware in previous years CS availability has been limited in the MK. There are only a couple of the CS places open during the party.

This is very good advice on the counter service. I am so over counter service in the parks...the lines are now unbearable. And that's just on a normal day, let alone during the holidays and on a MVMCP day.

I agree with PP that TS is best for lunch on MVMCP night. We went to Epcot on our day and did Le Cellier then Cosmics Rays at about 7pm. Goofy, Chip and Dale were doing a dance party in CR while we ate and the kids loved it. We ate, the kids danced then we were on our way to the party. Then came the rain but that is a different story....

Either way have a great time!!!

We usually stay at Boardwalk and our tradition on party days (MVMCP or MSSHP) is to sleep in, do a late breakfast at Cape May, swim and then head to MK for a CS meal around 4pm. If you are on the monorail, I'd consider O'Hana's for breakfast and enjoy a relaxing afternoon until party time.

We're staying at the Poly as well. My plan is an early breakfast at CP and then back to the resort for relaxing day there. Then we're doing an early 4:00 to 5:00 dinner at CRT. That should put us out in plenty of time for the party at 7:00.
